This is not normal - the increase in ticks visibly on us already is alarming. We have grasses kept low between mowing and grazing animals, wood are being cleared by mulching now - chickens are free ranging around the house and through the fields and still the ticks are showing. Yes - we live where there are ticks and they are normal - but this is more pressure than I’ve seen before.

@BrianRoemmele Humans, like many other species have social dominance hierarchies. Whatever may come, this remains true without intense bio-hacking. We largely already live in a post-scarcity world. And yet, resources are not shared equally or even efficiently. I question the universality….

@MarkJCarney Canada shut down churches during Covid. Explain why you believe this was legitimate but Israel shuttering gatherings without proper bomb shelters during a war is not legitimate.

I am disappointed with the decision by the Israeli police to prevent the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and the Christian Communities of the Holy Land from marking Palm Sunday at the Holy Sepulchre.    These actions further violate the longstanding status quo of Jerusalem’s Holy Sites. People of every faith in Jerusalem should be able to worship freely, fully, and without fear. I am pleased that President Herzog has contacted the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, to reaffirm this.

Youi know what the New York Times hasn't written about in a headline? That Iran limiting traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is a direct violation of customary international law! (The @NYTimes quoted some administration officials saying it was, but no legal experts that say it straight out the way this article does.)

Canada strongly condemns Israel’s plans to occupy territory in southern Lebanon. Lebanon’s sovereignty & territorial integrity must not be violated. Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel must cease and they must disarm.

In hindsight it was probably a bad idea to assume that the Iranian regime would fall so fast and so hard that no Iranians would be able to figure out how to assassinate any U.S. or Israeli officials over the next five years in revenge for the assassinations of their officials.

@cremieuxrecueil It can also mean the idea is politically toxic and or impossible to get funding for or publish without destroying one’s career, and therefore in current conditions it is impossible for said evidence to exist

Remember: A lot of foolish people use the phrase "No Evidence" maliciously. It can mean there's evidence against something, evidence for it and the establishment rejects it, no evidence on some topic in the first place, or really, any number of things!

> embolden > discredit Why do people think in such childish terms? No, it won't "embolden" China. They do not pin their hopes on American *unwillingness* to act. They intend to become able to win regardless of how Serious and Real you get, by pure military capability.

@mmjukic @easybezz You can argue wether or not starting this war was a good idea, but not finishing it will embolden China, Russia, North Korea. It will discredit the US amongst Arab allies and leaves Iran free to embark on a revenge arc.

@rubusursinus @mmjukic @easybezz This was a completely pointless war that is distracting the US from actual strategic goals and has very little public support. Trump will be forced to pull the plug as energy and food prices spiral by late spring.

Hezbollah is the people's militia. Therefore, all people south of the Litani are Hezbollah. The only way to have peace is to have no on south of the Litani. Gaza has a yellow line. Lebanon should have a yellow line too. The rest of Lebanon should pay for not stopping this.
