@ByuSome My wife gave up her career after our first was born because she couldn’t imagine leaving him in a daycare letting someone else raise him. She traded in her position in a legal department for the title of mother and she says it’s one of the best things she ever did.

This BS needs to stop. My wife has all of her hobbies. She reads, gardens, etc. as a mom of 3 kids under 5. Stop blaming men and your kids because you can't self-manage yourself and navigate to keep your hobbies. Talk with your husband and work out time for both yours and his hobbies. Also, career? For 8-9 hours a day 5 days a week, my time is not my own. I am subject to whatever my work needs of me. Meanwhile, my wife is her own master. Every minute is her judgement and decision. That's an incredible gift to give. I love that she can do that, and she's incredibly grateful. Stop having a great life and wasting it away because you suck at family management and you're not grateful.

It is what it is. The husband wasn't going to lift a single finger to raise that child, because most husbands never actually do. And I can see how an accidental pregnancy at 40 yrs old meant a severe shortening of Mom's life because she would be the only one actually raising that child (feeding, dishes, laundry, cleaning) for the next 18 years while hubby napped on the couch while telling everyone "they" were raising another little one. And there's a HUGE chance the baby would have Down's Syndrome or other issues due to a geriatric pregnancy, which of course Mom would be expected to carry the full load of by herself while dad naps on the couch.

@GuyInco15542744 Hahaha! This woman blocked me months ago when I challenged her when she said we should burn the Book of Mormon. She accused the Church of redefining Christian beliefs, and didn't like it when I informed her that every other Christian sect has been doing that for millennia.

@DanShaha 1000% correct! I have had so many personal, sacred experiences, directly related to the Church, its doctrines and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no man on this Earth that can shake my faith or convince me these experiences were not from God.

I had an interaction with a critic of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the other day that has fundamentally changed my views on the Church and the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. After some back and forth about one of a dozen recycled anti-Mormon tropes he asked me a question; what evidence did I need to see to prove that Joseph Smith was false prophet and that the Church was founded on a lie? I had to pause and think about my answer. I don’t want to tie my testimony of the Restored Gospel to an event, person, or policy. That seems like an easy way to have my convictions undermined. But I also don’t want to come off as a zealot acting on blind faith, either. After thinking for a while I answered; I would need to have a significant spiritual experience equal to or greater than the experience I had when I first read The Book of Mormon, or the first time I went to the Temple, or when I got married, or when I first held my kids. I’d need an experience so significant that it would outweigh my previous experiences. The conversation ended there. My testimony of the Restored Gospel comes from God, as revealed through the Holy Ghost. God is the objective source of all truth. I may not have all the answers. Some of my beliefs may not make logical sense. But God has made it very clear to me that objective, eternal truth is found in the Restored Gospel and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
