So they built a real token with a real site and real branding, called it NexFundAI, and waited to see who would show up. Within weeks, scammers were lining up to fake the volume for undercover agents. Then one of them got on a recorded call and said it out loud. Their entire business model was making regular people lose money so they could profit. The FBI had all of it on tape. 18 charged. $25M seized. Arrests across 3 countries. The wildest part? The FBI ran a cleaner crypto project than half the founders out there. And the whole thing was a trap from day one.

Microsoft just confirmed one of the most user-friendly Windows 11 Start menu updates yet! I’ve criticized the Windows 11 Start menu for years because Microsoft made simple choices unnecessarily difficult. If you want a clean pins-only Start? You had to fight multiple settings, unpin apps one by one, and risk breaking recent files elsewhere. That’s finally changing. Microsoft says Start will get separate toggles for Pinned, Recommended, and All. You’ll also be able to turn off file recommendations in Start without disabling recent files in File Explorer or Jump Lists! There’s more: Small/Large Start menu sizes, better file relevancy, “Recommended” being renamed to “Recent,” and an option to hide your name and profile picture when screen sharing. Start is the first thing millions of people touch every day. Microsoft is finally treating it like something users should control, not something Windows decides for them.

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows Update has been downgrading newer GPU drivers that users install manually from Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA websites. The system treated older OEM-approved drivers as the best match for the hardware via a broad 4-part HWID ranking, often replacing fresh 2026 drivers with older 2024 or earlier versions. Microsoft is now changing this. New display drivers will use narrower targeting with 2-part HWIDs plus CHIDs, making updates specific to the exact hardware and preventing unwanted replacements. They removed CD/DVD drives from devices. They made physical media harder to buy and use. They removed expandable storage from phones. They pushed us into streaming subscriptions. They made always-online normal. They made unlimited internet necessary. Then slowly raised the price of everything. Ownership quietly became renting.

@krosskriss824 @ZorinOS I'm used to MacOS and Windows. Zorin is pretty simple to use. The downside is that some apps aren't available for Linux, but that isn't specific to Zorin. There are workarounds: Wine, Bottle, VMs, WinpodX. It doesn't hurt to try it out and see.

@Sassafrass_84 We don't even do the rabies shot. We got our dog when he was about 3. We don't know his prior history, but with us we don't vaccinate. We have a friend who is a groomer and will do it at her house. We pay her a good amount. It's so dumb that groomers require proof of shots.

I only do the required rabies vaccination. After the first year, I stopped all others. Having raised dachshunds since I was 8, I noticed that dogs vaccinated yearly often developed spinal issues and died young. My longest-lived dachshund reached 14 years in the 90s, before frequent vaccinations became standard. Paralysis at young ages never seemed normal for the breed. I now have four dachshunds. All initially vaccinated as puppies. The older two are 8 years old, the younger two are 1.5, and all are doing great. This is my opinion only. Not medical advice or telling you what to do with your dogs.

Everyone keeps saying “go into the trades.” I get it — but here’s my real experience: Called a local company to fix an icemaker on a 2007 fridge that still runs great. Tech shows up. Takes a picture. Can’t fix it. Charges $99 just for showing up. Then quotes me $1,300 to replace the icemaker. So I do what everyone can do now: I ChatGPT the model number. In 2 seconds: • Exact replacement part • Direct phone number • Cost: $300 Installation? 2 screws. 10 minutes. I’ll do it myself. Same thing happened with my pool heater: Repair guy quoted $2,000. I bought the part directly and fixed it myself for under $200. The problem isn’t the trades. It’s that information asymmetry is gone — and some businesses haven’t realized it yet.

@LamarMK Tesla's have brake pads. Brand new vehicles don't need to be taken in much regardless of form factor. The real test is around 50k miles, 100k miles, and 200k miles. How much does it cost to replace the battery? For a cyber truck is $18k to 32k!

As a 3 year Tesla owner, here are the raw facts about ownership. Maintenance is basically nothing. Rotate your tires every 5 to 6k miles. Top off the washer fluid for $5. That's it. Meanwhile a gas car needs all of that plus oil changes, brake pads, transmission service, and a list of things that never end. Now stack that maintenance on top of $80 a week to fill up. The cost of owning a gas car compared to a Tesla isn't even close. Going electric was one of the best decisions I've ever made. You should make the switch too. What's stopping you from going all electric?

@Liltall_Liltall I don't understand why people still use Adobe. Affinity is just as good and isn't bloated. The only software they have that doesn't have a comparable alt is AE. Depending on how you use it, there are some alts like Natron.

My Adobe subscription has a $270 cancellation fee to exit my contract I started in college in 2013. I’ve paid Adobe over $8000 and don’t own anything, and if I want to leave they’ll charge me a heinous fee that is hidden in the fine print, using dark pattern business.
