Staff are reporting back to the Park Board at tomorrow night's meeting about the Stanley Park Mobility Study & the bike lane. It's often asserted that there's no need for a bike lane on the road because of the sea wall bike path, but it's frequently closed, especially in winter.

Paris now has 180 gorgeous ‘school streets.’ They are pedestrianized and landscaped streets around schools - to mitigate crashes, prioritize walking to school, reduce noise and air pollution. No brainer, really.

I can't express how sad I am that a member of the municipal council's supermajority is openly contemplating the removal of one of North America's most successful bike lanes.
