Today, Canada recognises the State of Palestine.

Ville Saint Laurent @SPVM Under Section 264.1 of the Canadian Criminal Code, threatening to kill someone is a criminal offence — even if you don’t actually plan to do it. The law covers threats to cause death or bodily harm, to destroy property, or to harm someone’s animals. In plain English: if your words would make a reasonable person believe the threat is real, you’ve just committed a crime. That video isn’t “free speech” — it’s evidence. Under Section 264.1 of the Canadian Criminal Code, the penalties for uttering threats depend on how the Crown proceeds: Indictable offence → up to 5 years imprisonment. Summary conviction → up to 18 months imprisonment and/or a fine (usually up to $5,000).
