@BtnSomSoc my wife volunteers at the migrant English project and a 26 year old Somali lady, a beginner in English, is leaving the asylum hotel soon. She is very isolated so we are trying to find a community to connect her with. Are you able to help at all? Please DM for details

@akirathedon "Akira the don" "don't worry" seems to bring up the post for me. Weird will force it to search for the exact quoted phrase

@akirathedon You tried dropping the hyphen? In a search the hyphen can mean exclude the next word

@bankwithsmile Yeah I know it's not possible, it's a ludicrous decision. I'm seriously considering switching accounts as I'm having to call you much more often now. I've just waited on the phone for 35 minutes to set up a standing order. The decision must be designed to drive business away...

@sam_holder Hi Sam, it's no longer possible to add a reference when paying another Co-op or smile account online. We will need to a call to set them up with references now. This was a business decision, we're sorry for the inconvenience caused. - Chris

@bankwithsmile why can't I set up standing order or make a transfer to another smile account and include a reference via online banking? You make me ring you to do this, even though I've paid these accounts before. It's madness, I don't want 20 mins on the phone, neither do you

This is NCrunch Runtime Data Inspection (RDI), a new feature area we're introducing in V5, due out early next month. Data is collected at run time and can be analysed later long after the test has finished its run. No debugger necessary.

If I want to do a capital letter I turn caps lock on, do the letter and turn it back off again. I never had any idea this was weird until someone at work spotted me doing this and now every one at work calls me "Cappy". I can't be alone in doing this, can I?

After 3 challenging years of development, I'm happy to announce that we will be introducing support for @JetbrainsRider to NCrunch next month. We are also releasing v4.19 today which includes support for dotnet build. Full details: blog.ncrunch.net/post/Dotnet-bu…

@MartinDotNet Ok, so if I use the Azure monitor exporter, I should be able to use the otel libraries to create spans/logs etc in my libraries and have those work? Thanks for taking the time to engage. It's really appreciated.

@sam_holder Short answer... yes. Slightly longer answer, the AppInsights libraries are being rewritten to depend on Activity as are all the Azure SDKs. In Otel, we use Activity from the runtime. So if a library is using that, you just need an exporter or an OTLP compliant endpoint.

The revolution is happening! OpenTelemetry adoption in .NET is taking off, 3 big libraries in the last couple of weeks that have added intentional, and purposeful, tracing and Metrics to them. Is this the year of #OpenTelemetry and #dotnet?
Stefán Jökull Sigurðarson@stebets

Well would you look at that @davidfowl! My PR to add OpenTelemetry to the .NET RabbitMQ library has been merged. Next up: some improvements to OTel baggage propagation (hi @MartinDotNet) and some docs + examples! I'll also look at getting this integrated into Aspire (unless someone beats me to it ;))! #dotnet #OpenTelemetry github.com/rabbitmq/rabbi…

@MartinDotNet I suppose fundamentally what I was expecting is to be able to reference otel in my libraries (no application insights ref), and just wire up a AI collector in my app, and be able to turn span, logs and trace collection on in all my libraries through config and have it work

@MartinDotNet ...Application insights specific libraries, so using a different backend locally would be possible as well as hooking into the otel options for 3rd party libs (like NSB etc) (Coming from somewhere that used data dog previously and was surprised that no 1st class support in ai)
