They note draft language around article 51 "very problematic legally & politically" & could be portrayed as "giving a justification for any and all Israeli actions in #Gaza." #UAE says #US draft is not reflective of catastrophic situation in #Gaza (4000 killed, 14000 wounded, 1.4 million displaced, 62 attacks on healthcare, 193 attacks on education facilities incl 29 @UNRWA schools) and adds that draft disregards what 13 council members and #UNSG @antonioguterres called for: Ceasefire/Humaniatarian Pauses, Corridors, & Safe Routes.
