Justin Lee, a Montgomery County police officer, was found guilty today in the U.S. District Court in DC for his involvement in the January 2021 insurrection at the United States Capitol. The guilty verdict was delivered by Judge Trevor McFadden during a bench trial. Lee was indicted in October of 2023 and charged with two felony counts related to his actions during the insurrection.   He had been on administrative leave following his involvement in the shooting death of an armed suspect on July 22, 2023. The Maryland Attorney General’s office reviewed the fatal shooting and did not pursue charges against Lee. As a result, Lee has not performed the duties of a police officer since the shooting. Lee participated in the January 6 insurrection prior to being hired as a Montgomery County Police Officer. 
 Lee has been relieved of his police powers during the pendency of this case. Pursuant to the Public Safety Article of the Maryland Code, Section 3-107, upon the finding of guilt, Lee will no longer be employed by the Montgomery County Department of Police.   “The department remains committed to upholding the highest standards of conduct and accountability.”

I just drove through an apocalyptic swarm of homelessness and realized that we could fix soooooooo many problems in the USA by just solving our drug issue. - cut homelessness by 90% - public transport becomes usable - drastic reduction in theft - less violent crime and murder - fewer kids raised by single parents and foster care - fewer drug overdoses - less work absenteeism - fewer car accidents - unlock lots of dead real estate - increase productivity So many powerful second order effects from hard drug use. Crazy that we’ve basically just given up.

ANOTHER CHILD INJURED AFTER SHOOTING HIMSELF w/ AN UNSECURED GUN— Montgomery County Police were called out to the 18700 block of Walkers Choice Rd in Montgomery Village for a shooting at around 12:20pm & found a 3 year-old boy shot in the hip. It was later determined he had shot himself using a gun left out in a residence. Several people inside of the residence have been detained. The boy has hopefully non life-threatening injuries after being taken to a trauma center. This is the 2nd child shot using an unsecured gun in 48 hours in Maryland. 🛸: @MyDronePro
