@BTC200Kgang @RealCynicalFox In Durch there are two words for cyclists, a wielrenner “wheelrunner” (like you see here) and fietser (byciclest) like your grandma, little kids, people just going to work om a bike etc… I think lumping those two groups together is wrong and makes everyone on a bike look bad.

When living in London, I always swore that if something took me out in a crosswalk, it wouldn't be a car; it'd be a cyclist!

Already noticed people making use of the protected bike intersection at the northwest corner of Somerville Ave/Prospect intersection. It also forces vehicles to slow down when making a right turn. Really takes so much stress out of riding a bike here, better for everyone.

Looks like lots of people checking out the Somerville Ave improvements today! Here is one of the new floating bus stops inbound, with tactile pedestrian crossing strips across the cycle track. These in lane bus stops make boarding quicker and easier. Needs some seating though!

(Almost) a Dutch style protected intersection in Auckland! Unfortunately, let down by the traffic lights, which guarantee that you'll hit a red on a bike, even if general traffic in the same direction has a green. Still a nice try, I guess?
