My question is: why doesn’t the foundation allocate and spend its own funds according to its mandate which is to support the protocol at this kinds of events? Why tap into treasury ? #Cardano $ADA

@SCATDAO Anothe foundation? We have one already. If we don't trust Cardano Foundation, why i will vote for a new foundation and give those unknown people 500M ada, to do what exactly?

This is MUCH better. But why stop there? What if we start some type of Foundation dedicated to advancing #Cardano? Would could gift them like 500 Million ADA from the treasury and they could use it to grow our ecosystem and onboard millions of users. What do you guys think?

@MyLatinLife It’s for income you earn outside of USA. Most poeople are earning their salaries from USA business and spending abroad, so that would t help. And you would still need to pay tax on that money in the foreign country you are earning it.

If you spend less than 35 days per year in the United States 🇺🇸, you get a HUGE tax break. It's called the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion. You pay 0% income tax on your first $130,000 in earned income. This works out to $20,000+ in savings, just for staying outside the US.

@SCATDAO @InputEndorsers If your $ADA stack can be used to vote on projects that disburse funds to you, the incentive will be to keep that stack and milk the cow. The disincentive would be to exclude that said stack from governance voting but that ship has sailed a long time ago. The system is captive.

@RealSaidov @InputEndorsers Got it. I agree with that 100%. Was just thinking the other day why they didn’t include something like that in the constitution. Along with voting on proposals that you submitted yourself.

@RealSaidov @InputEndorsers What incentives could be put in place to encourage that? I assumed growing Cardano = growing price of ADA = growing CF wealth was enough to get them to spend their own money but clearly it wasn’t.

@SCATDAO They have big chunk of Ada. In 10 years what is return on investment? Roaming world with shining shoes is not an achievement, until they held accountable for every Ada wisely expense ,do not trust anyone

@HiiiPowerRevo It was meant as a joke. We literally already did this when we funded the Cardano Foundation with hundreds of millions of ADA to do stuff like this. And now for some reason they are unwilling to do stuff like this unless they get paid more money.

Why I'm provoked by the Cardano Summit Withdrawal: Cardano Summit 2025 Berlin: Cost $1.4M $USD. Revenue: $0.3M $USD. Total cost $1.1M $USD. Cardano Summit 2026 Proposal: Cost: $2.8M $USD Revenue expected by CF: $0.4M $USD Total cost: $2.4M With $ADA at it lowest point, the Cardano Foundation propose to DOUBLE the Summit budget. All this in a month after the @Cardano_CF bragged about year-on-year reduction since 2022: "The Summit’s main hub event has gone through a significant year-on-year reduction since 2022, the revenue has seen a consistent increase. Naturally, introducing paid ticketing played a key role in this. It also both follows industry practices and helps guarantee the Summit’s future path to revenue and sustainability" It doesn't help to see post from Cardano Foundation employees saying: "If a (ex) top 10 blockchain can't afford a flagship event, that would be pretty embarrassing, in my opinion."

To be absent, or to have a "modest" presence, is to signal to the world's capital that Cardano is retreating. We are doing the opposite. We are showing up where the money is, at the exact moment the world is watching. 2. A Proven, KPI-Driven Strategy We are not spending blindly. Our approach is strictly KPI-driven, and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of accountability. It is important to note that both Cardano Summit 2025 and Unified Marketing 2025 met or exceeded every stated KPI—from developer sign-ups and media reach to institutional leads. In fact, we were one of the few projects to fully deliver on our commitments within last year's Net Change Limit (NCL) framework. We are bringing that same discipline and data-backed rigor to Singapore. 3. From "Booth" to "Infrastructure" There is a misconception that these summits are just for swag. These weren't "internal discussions"; they were high-level business developments—and there are more to come. @emurgo_io and the @Cardano_CF support this proposal because we act as the legal and commercial counterparties required to sign these contracts. @IOGroup stepped up (as they always do) to countersign as well. @IntersectMBO is maturing and over time will become the primary signer (in my opinion) but at present we are still needed. These entities require a professional, unified front before they commit to integrating with our tech stack. The funds are used to secure venues, sponsorships, and ensure efficient event execution. 4. Solving the "Enterprise" and "Booth" Perception We are evolving how we showcase Cardano: Beyond Retail: Enterprise adoption is a "back-room" game. The Industry Day is designed to get our builders in front of the institutional players who are in town for the F1 and Token2049. Institutional Ready: It has been highlighted that we are predominantly retail, but in my estimation, Cardano is institutional-ready given the significant infrastructure investments we have made and delivered—in large part thanks to @IOGroup and @IOHK_Charles's leadership. @MidnightNtwrk has brought the spotlight back to our ecosystem. Like it or not, we live in an economy of attention, and right now, the attention needs to be on us. Unifying the Best: Most importantly, this summit provides a world-class platform for our top ecosystem projects. We are giving our most promising DApps an audience of tens of thousands that they could never reach individually. As smaller projects, they could not scale this on their own or would be relegated to the back corners of Token2049.
