@jdotb That is true for many things. A major thing in rpgs is the character progression. If the best way to make your guy strongest is not engaging then it's badly designed.

@jdotb Maybe, just maybe adress the elephant in the room. That infinitely farmable 3/6 hero track items are bad for the game. It invalidates the majority of the game while also providing dogshit content. No one enjoys doing the same dungeons over and over at the same level.

@jdotb Yeah. Farming specific items is dogshit in keys let's just port it to raid aswell. Can't wait to do 20+ of the same boss so everyone has the specific item they need. Sounds super fun and engaging.

@Violet_Kitten69 @emmzeexd @Profien_87 @Shadarek No. It's 20% chance for a loot drop per people. In a 20 man raid it's 4 pieces of loot that ends up with 0.2 loot per player. With 19 players and one locked you get 3 loot 20% of the time and 4 80% of the time. So on average you get 3.8 pieces of loot. That's still 0.2 loot avg

@emmzeexd @Profien_87 @Shadarek Its 1 pc per 5 people. In a 20 man raid, if 1 person is locked. The game treats it as if 15 people so the overall loot count goes from 4 to 3. Meaning those 4 extra players now have extra people to roll against for a smaller pool of loot.

I wish I had a way to explain why somebody being loot locked in your run isn't 'stealing your loot' but god people are bullheaded about it. You add 5 people to a raid who don't roll an item and also can't roll on items, it's the exact same on average.

@cross__entropy @fireshoes In this matrix, there are a few cells where the matrix isn't symmetric the way I'd expect. Like prowess vs. momo white the win rate reported from both sides doesn't add up. Is that because draws are considered a loss for both players?

@R3tz4mE @Psybear_tv Normal/heroic raid loot is irrelevant besides a couple of very specific items. Items the random pug leader has no idea you wear (or even exist). Having high ilvl is more than enough. And keys are infinitely farmable hero track sources.

@TraduNaCl They did try to change that back in DF season 1 I believe and the backlash was insane. In less than a week dungeons got nerfed and the rewards shifted down. The main way people look at keys is an accessable way to get geared over a season.

Changing those expectations is a necessary first step to have any hope of fixing M+ rewards. Continuing down the path of making M+ rewards easier and easier over time is not healthy, and fixing it will only become more unpopular over time as toxic expectations get entrenched.

I think TMNT is a really interesting litmus test for what you care about as a Magic player. I’ve noticed a lot of people see the concept/art as a nonstarter, I’ve also noticed a bunch of people saying the cards/mechanics look fun and they’re excited for it (both are valid)

Me and @zompatanfo have been hard at work tuning Simic Cub. We decided that Wistfulness and Curator were the only tutor targets we have been consistently happy to draw so we just maximized them. Archdruid's Charm performs better than Formidable Speaker Link and sb-guide below 👇

@thiscatg9tclaws @Intrepid_Tautog The difference is that in hs you can't have more hp than 30. And decks can do that much dmg in like 2 turns. Whereas in mtg you could flicker this creature a couple of times and get to unreasonable amount of life total.

@ArcanePorom @WarcraftDevs As long as the encounter design is fine people won't have much issue. Most of the people don't really care if a class' gameplay is interesting or not. They just want content/rewards. The addon situation was a big unforced error though
