Los Angeles County and the City of Los Angeles launch a $2.8 million program to provide sidewalk vendors with funding to get permits They say these street vendors can’t afford the fees for permits and equipment. So they’re going to have American taxpayers pay for it

Today, I exercised my veto power on SF 101, the Second Amendment Protection Act. Despite its name, this bill does not safeguard our fundamental Second Amendment rights, which I have always fully supported. Instead, it contains problematic provisions that undermine law enforcement charged with keeping our communities and streets safe from violent crimes. Wyoming Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police expressed serious concerns about the bill. These concerns were reinforced by the @POTUS Administration's (@ICEgov) federal law enforcement officials, who cautioned that the legislation could severely hinder vital cooperation between Wyoming's law enforcement and federal agencies. This cooperation is essential for combating violent crime, firearms trafficking, and cartel operations. I shared these concerns, which ultimately led to my decision to veto the bill. #Backtheblue Read my letter here: shorturl.at/Dvm7o

When I was a kid, my mom used to get me @stouffers French bread pizza as a treat. So for nostalgia's sake, I grabbed one the other day. Good god, Stouffers! What's happened to you? I mean, besides shrinkage.

I’ve been posting a lot of articles and gameplay videos about the King of Fighters series recently, and it feels like the project is finally coming to an end. Thanks so much for watching and enjoying them. I’ll be preparing something new soon, so stay tuned! 😊

This is what Mission Bay looked like back in the year 2000. Back then it was a mostly vacant industrial area with warehouses empty lots, and old rail yards. 📍San Francisco

It's funny the letter mentions this, because in our amicus brief for Rhode, we cited this very example! California's ammunition background check at issue in that case wrongly denied 11% of people who tried to buy ammo - almost exactly the percentage the Kansas law blocked from voting! And by the state's own admission, very few prohibited people were stopped from buying ammo due to California's background check regime. Just one prohibited person per every 410 or so wrongfully rejected purchasers, to be exact. That's also similar to the Kansas law, which uncovered "virtually no unlawful voting." Most of the states included on the letter opposing the SAVE Act signed onto a 2020 amicus brief in support of California in Rhode. The brief argued that the ammunition background check "promote[s] compelling state interests without imposing a severe burden on Second Amendment rights." Kwame Raoul was a signatory of both that brief, and this new letter! So is Delaware AG Kathleen Jennings, and probably others too. And of course Rob Bonta, also a signatory of the new letter, is defending California's ammo background check.
