The mystery of #UAE's large agricultural farms (about 56 projects) worth $11.9 billion, spanning millions of acres from Sudan to Mauritania in the Sahara Desert in #Africa. When the article's author made a visit to one of those farms that was supposed to produce blueberries, in #Mauritania, no one — farmers, police, the mayor’s office — knew anything about this farm. newlinesmag.com/spotlight/the-…

@MyresWN I actually have farmers who are already achieving it. Three factors. The right seed, the right inputs, and doing garden management activities at the right time.

I can see you are obsessed with one’s color unfortunately. We know where politics of identity nearly took Uganda. Kindly know Ugandans whether white, black or anyother color have equal rights. Being black doesnot make me or you more of a Ugandan than Ugandans of other color.

Bobi Wine is selling Uganda to the whites!😁 Whites have Uganda at heart more than many indigenous Ugandans! Do you listen to yourself banae🤷🏽‍♀️!

7 years ago, l joined agro-input traders who operate downtown (in container village) after masters. Now, l can boldly say that l have a methodology that can help the govt wipe out fake agroinputs in 6 months. But who do l talk to? @BalaamBarugahar @mkainerugaba ,@FrankTumwebazek

The Museveni regime, which claims to be “Pan-African,” has had an ambassador to Belgium for years — and she isn’t even Ugandan! How can they preach African pride while sidelining their own citizens to represent the country abroad? True Pan-Africanism starts with putting your people first — not using slogans to cover up obvious contradictions.

The military rulers of Burkina Faso, Mali & Niger wld have their citizens & the world believe that they are virulently anti-French. In reality, they are exploiting that sentiment to mobilize support for their hold on power. How so, u may ask? Well, Burkina Faso, Mali, & Niger are still members of @UEMOA_Officiel. The countries of the union are members of the CFA Franc Zone. That currency is directly underwritten & supported by France. It is illogical to be so anti-France & yet within a currency zone that it underwrites. This is an illustration of the illogics that undermine #RegionalIntegration in #Africa. I explain in this article with @TC_Africa👇🔗👇 theconversation.com/africas-trade-…

I personally think that Kampala City can be salvaged from its current nebulous state. The solution is not cosmetic fixes, but bold, disciplined urban reforms that restore order, beauty, and pride. First: Reorganize the CBD. Clear zoning, structured trading spaces, enforced business standards, and compulsory shop displays. A city must look organized to function organized. Second: Relight Kampala. Modern street lighting across the CBD safe cities are well-lit cities. Darkness breeds crime; light restores confidence. Third: Urban aesthetics matter. All landlords should repaint buildings every two years. Clean, maintained buildings signal seriousness and attract investment. Fourth: Cleanliness is non-negotiable. Privatize garbage collection and disposal. Launch a Keep Kampala Clean initiative every last Saturday of the month. Clean cities are disciplined cities. Fifth: Fix mobility. Pave all walkways, tarmac all CBD roads, restore road signs and plot numbers, mark parking and no-parking zones clearly, and prohibit heavy trailers from the city center. Sixth: Modern transport & control. Introduce private city transport within an initial 5km radius, install traffic lights at all intersections, and enforce traffic laws strictly no exceptions. Seventh: Security & enforcement. Create a dedicated City Police with 24/7 patrols, including motorbike units in distinct uniforms. Order must be visible. Eighth: Smart city reforms. Free public Wi-Fi in the CBD, AI-powered KCCA systems, and AI training for all staff to improve service delivery and accountability. Finally: Instant fines for city offenses. Swift consequences build compliance. Green the city. Enforce the law. Embrace technology. Turn Kampala into a clean, safe, green, and modern African capital. My Experience in soroti has was amazing and historical ,soroti was once the cleanest and most organized in the country for 7 years and NEMA issued the certificates.we can do it in Kampala. But the private sector must cooperate with the @KCCAUG …dilute politics in the above initiatives then you can achieve positive changes and results. @KagutaMuseveni @JanetMuseveni @AnitahAmong @mkainerugaba #KampalaReforms #CleanCity #GreenKampala #SmartCity

I would like to thank @KagutaMuseveni for finally saving Uganda Airlines by firing its corrupt and incompetent CEO. I also thank @mkainerugaba whose intervention was decisive. It will be great if former Ethiopian Airways CEO, Gilma Wake, takes over as chairman of the board and the current CEO of the same airline, whose contract in Addis Ababa ends this June, takes over as CEO. We also need a new much more competent board. Today is a day for Ugandans to celebrate. All the good, competent and patriotic staff of UA who had been fired will be returned. Those who were working inside and provided us all the needed information will be rewarded. And all those who colluded with the corrupt management to swindle our airline will be brought to book.

@GodwinTOKO @jamesonen @karamagi_andrew Our weather doesn't support wheat farming. Even in the high altitude areas like sebei and kigezi where wheat growing would be ideal, the land dynamics there and UG 99 disease makes it hard to do any serious large scale farming.

Still about Jinja, these train wagons are filled with wheat from Ukraine destined for Uganda. Here, the load was awaiting clearance at the Jinja Railway Station - also Uganda Railways Museum. Yep, Uganda, ‘Museveni’s peaceful country’, actually imports wheat from “war-torn Ukraine”. Not sure how this works out, but here we are. Seems like a major failure in policy for the nation with two planting seasons.
