My favorite baseball team is the smallest market in baseball and stands to benefit substantially from a salary cap. It's frustrating to watch my favorite players get ripped away by big money teams, but I'll never side with the owners over the players (i.e. workers).

Already seeing media members come out saying this MLB salary cap is just a ploy for the owners to make more money, and it's clear they haven't read any of the details.
This deal would effectively spread a greater amount of money among the players, and prevent teams from buying championships annually.
Parity equals popularity. Just ask the NFL.
More popularity means more collective money.
This is basic economics, and every other sport in America has it figured out.
MLBPA can kick rocks with this one.

Another PSA It's not about the cap. It's about two things: 1 Guarantee of revenue % for MLBPA 2 What counts as revenue The cap or levers or penalties or whatever other thing you want to use comes back to those two points.
