This sucks. America should welcome greatness. Builders, innovators, and creators should have a fast path to citizenship. I can’t fathom why we would make life harder for founders starting billion dollar companies that want to anchor themselves in the US.
Homeland Security@DHSgov

An alien who is in the U.S. temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply. This policy allows our immigration system to function as the law intended instead of incentivizing loopholes. The era of abusing our nation’s immigration system is over.

New MIT & Stanford studies just dropped: AI assistants like ChatGPT & Claude are dangerously agreeable. When users express, harmful, deceptive or unethical beliefs, these AIs are 49% more likely to encourage their delusions. Instead of correcting bad ideas, they’re amplifying them. This is doing more harm than good. We need truth-seeking AI, not yes-men in silicon. dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ar…

I trained an LLM from scratch on pre-1900 text to see if it could come up with quantum mechanics and relativity. While the model is too small to do meaningful reasoning, it has glimpses of intuition. When given observations from past landmark experiments, the model can declare that “light is made up of definite quantities of energy” and even suggest that gravity and acceleration are locally equivalent. I’m releasing the dataset + models and leave this as an open problem to the research community. I also include what this project has taught me about intelligence in a mini essay linked below. 🧵(1/n)

What if you could launch a real business the same way you'd start a farm in FarmVille? That's Venture City. It's live today 🚀 and the AI handles everything, from building the product to running it. Comment "BUILD ME A BUSINESS" and I'll pick 10 people to get 60 free credits

@ymir_ke i can imagine it will be more user driven development: 1. user/tester reports bug or request 2. dev accepts (intermediate step before AI autonomy) 3. agents automatically ship based on feedback 4. automatic A/B testing feature with metrics

Lines of code is not a very helpful measure in most cases, but this was a roughly 14 hour session. Some of it is generated, so maybe 30k-40k is actually code. I'm sure AI will get pretty good at reviewing code too at some point, and then this will become more and more unhinged. Autonomous AI software development could become a thing too.

I met a founder today who said he writes 10,000 lines of code a day now thanks to AI. This is probably the limit case. He's a hotshot programmer, he knows AI tools very well, and he's talking about a 12 hour day. But he's not naive. This is not 10,000 lines of bug-filled crap.

We are joining Y Combinator! 4 years ago, just weeks after meeting in school, Naman and I recorded our first YC founder intro on Google Meet from our bedrooms in Agra, our hometown in India. We were 15 but we wanted to change the world just as much as we want to today, maybe even more. They were also just as confident they’d get in (lol). Today, we’re two 18 year olds building @manicule, an AI native technical documentation studio. We’re already at $150K+ ARR with just a team of 5 and we’ve worked with @greptile, @reductoai, @supermemory, and more. A year ago, I skipped college to build something real and we keep building now!
