Seems that @Raentrading and sleazeball have decided to publish my live desk trading record. That’s lovely because now we can talk about it. Performance is absolutely consistent with the “institutional” 🙄🙄🙄 platform. I passed both assessments using a challenging but functional platform. Then was sent to the live desk to use an absolutely garbage platform and struggled. No surprise there

The homeless man outside my University had a PhD in literature. I only found out because I dropped my book walking past him one day. He picked it up, looked at the cover, and said, "Ah, Virginia Woolf. Have you read her essays on consciousness?" One medical bankruptcy and a series of cascading disasters later, he's been on that corner for three years. "The difference between us," he said, "is about six months of bad luck." I think about that every time I complain about my problems.

@seity555 And no sugar in tea for two years. Margaret had to sell her first horse. I had to join a cheaper golf club an hour away. What's a joke to some really affected us. We sacrificed more than people will ever know.

Our little home. Bought in 1982 for £28,000. Just a modest family home in Surrey with a bit of a garden. I remember picking up extra shifts at the post office that summer to save for the deposit. We were so young. Apparently it's worth £1.5 million now but to us it's just home. 🏡

@ZenomTrader @StockCuppa Where are you getting those percentages from? What’s the 70-75 based on? I don’t understand how you could know this.

@StockCuppa They should show the expenses, but the fact that 90% of them are not showing their trades is telling you something. Statistically speaking, after paying $9,800 and receiving around $6,500–$7,000 in refunds, My chances of getting funded and paid are around 70%-75%

Fully verified profile with FTMO coming soon, showcasing all my trades. $103,000 in payouts and refunds, $9,800 in expenses. Nothing to hide: verified track record backed by private investor capital. It looks like almost no verified FTMO trader is showing their trades That tells you something.

@PAHoyeck Interesting, I guess there’s a reason it’s not ubiquitous in sci-fi culture like 2001

Just watched 2010: The Year We Make Contact for the first time. Wasn't impressed. Not only does it lack the grandeur and beauty of its predecessor, but it offers unsatisfactory answers to questions that needed none. Not even an average science fiction film. 6 out of 10.

@mean_field_zane It’s fundamental probability theory. You wouldn’t get anywhere near the door of a quant firm I imagine if you didn’t know the basics of a normal distribution.

@BrandonFugal @Y2John84 I think this film is one of the best horror movies but we were aware it was fake by the time we watched it at the cinema. From what remember it had already been throughly debunked.

@Y2John84 What made this terrifying was the perception and belief that it really happened… Which of course kicked off the found footage genre in a big way.

@star_stufff I particularly enjoy how it helps you to construct more rigorous heuristic models of the world, That has a lot of utility.

I’m not asking you, I’m telling you. Take a moment and listen to this 81 second response from Victor Glover after being asked if he had any thoughts leading up to Easter. I don’t quite think it can be overstated how perfect this crew is for the job.

@PAHoyeck I begrudgingly watched a YouTube video on how to read more. The solution was, read some synopsis of book online, read contents and read some parts that are interesting then say you’ve read it.

Finally pulled the trigger on Math Academy. I haven’t taken a math course since Calc 2 in 2017, which was so hard for me I changed majors. My goal is to follow the foundations path through Discrete Mathematics.
