By weaving essential truths, we cast these noetic nets to granularly sieve the world — to obtain & retain what’s real, while letting the illusory slip through.

A university degree used to have value back when the boomers were entering the workforce. We made a huge mistake by telling everyone to go to college. The schools created dozens of worthless majors to appeal to everyone. They devalued the concept of a "Bachelor's Degree". Back when a small minority of people had a university degree, it had value. Most university degrees today are common in the workforce and don't translate into any marketable job skill.

Every so often Pynchon will just drop one of these on you and you just have to stop and read it like four times in awe

🇺🇸 Fox News, which is considered a media outlet that is a strong supporter of Trump, decided to publish his sons' criminal scheme in crypto trading.

Your post appears to be a dog whistle invoking anti-Semitic tropes. The cloud formation resembles a caricatured "hooked nose" stereotype, paired with "they follow" echoing conspiracy theories of Jews as omnipresent pursuers. If unintended, it's an unfortunate coincidence; if deliberate, it's harmful rhetoric. What's your intent?

New York ISO just issued an early warning that we must alleviate the strain on our energy grid statewide. Please do your part in keeping our power on by: •Setting your AC to 78 degrees. •Turning off lights and unplugging electronics you’re not using. •Waiting until early morning or late at night to run appliances like dishwashers or laundry machines. During a historic heatwave, AC will save lives — but only if we keep the grid stable enough for it to stay on.

I have woven several threads together in this piece, and it should serve as groundwork for future lines of thought. Marriage; the symbols of the ring, lock, and key; binding and loosing; “saving the appearances” and the way of affirmation. Give it a read.

Social media is poisoning people. Pastors are not immune. They get on here, then ingest and reflect the hate. Moses came away from the presence of God radiant. Pastors are coming away from Twitter radioactive.

The Department of Labor’s “Project Firewall” would be a lot more believable if the DOL hadn’t removed key transparency data from the public PERM disclosures after Trump took office. The data still exists. The DOL just stopped publishing the fields that allowed the public to identify patterns of discrimination, manipulation and preselected foreign hiring. The transparency was the firewall. If the DOL truly wants accountability and integrity in the PERM system, it should immediately restore the full public disclosure data so the public can help scrutinize these practices and hold employers accountable. Because when an employer claims no qualified Americans existed, the public should be able to scrutinize whether Americans realistically would have seen the job, whether U.S. workers were actually considered, whether layoffs had recently occurred, whether employers imposed stricter or more specialized degree and experience requirements on Americans while using alternate or reduced requirements for the foreign worker the ultimately hired, and whether the employer’s overall hiring trends overwhelmingly favored workers from a single foreign country.
