On this Memorial Day, I ask my fellow West Virginians to join me in remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom. May the legacy they leave behind remind us of how precious life is, and the debt of gratitude we owe those who lay down their lives protecting the liberties our nation was founded on.

Investments in our nation’s infrastructure keep America building, growing, and on the move.   Chairman @SenCapito was proud to partner with other members of the @EPWGOP and @EPWCmte to introduce S.Res.750, a bipartisan resolution declaring this week National Public Works Week. Join us as we celebrate American infrastructure and the dedicated individuals who keep our roads, bridges, and public networks running and powering our nation’s growth.

With the help of @NIH, @WVURNI is leading the charge on not just patient care, but finding a cure for Alzheimer’s and other dementia. This issue is close to my heart, and I will continue to support @NIH funding for cancer research across the board. Thank you to Director of @NIHAging Dr. Hodes and Director of @NIDAnews Dr. Volkow for supporting our programs in West Virginia—I look forward to our continued collaboration.

“I’m a ‘finish the job’ person” @SenCapito told me yesterday and I hope every senator in the “Finish The Job” caucus encourages President Trump to do so. (Link to interview w/ Senator Capito is in replies.) Iran is doing what Iran has always done, play for time, lie, change course. I can’t believe President Trump would fall for this but legacy media is reporting in a fashion that suggests he is. Time, not media, will tell.

There is bipartisan momentum for capping monthly out-of-pocket insulin prices at $35. I'm glad to have the support of @JimJustice_WV, @SenCapito, @SenTimKaine and @SenLBR on my INSULIN Act.

President Trump has been clear: he will not accept a bad deal with Iran.   Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and they must return the Strait of Hormuz to free navigation for commerce. @POTUS believes this and so do I.

Democrats voted time and time again to defund @DHSgov—putting American’s safety and jobs in jeopardy. @SenateGOP will make sure that @DHSgov is fully funded and receives the resources they need to enforce immigration laws and ensure our national security.

As the @USArmy works to ensure that our Soldiers have the toughest, most realistic training that reflects modern threats—there is no better place than West Virginia. Thank you to @SecArmy Dan Driscoll and Vice Chief of Staff of the Army General LaNeve for their support of the future East Coast Warfare Center, which can help fill training gaps while bringing new purpose to former industrial sites in our state.

Great to attend the @United4Infra reception hosted by the @USChamber and @ShopFloorNAM during Infrastructure Week. As Chair of the @EPWGOP, we are constantly working towards strong, bipartisan legislation that will boost American competitiveness and advance key infrastructure programs.

Glad to see @BabydogJustice back in DC and recovering well after surgery. Wishing her a smooth and speedy recovery!

Because of Democrats’ historic temper tantrum, we will be funding Border Patrol and ICE for the full remainder of President Trump’s term. We are going to pass the Secure America Act, and with it, we are going to end this conversation about defunding the police.

It is critical that we crack down on fraud, waste, and abuse at the @USDOL. I applaud @POTUS and @VP Vance for their strong leadership on this. As Chair of the Labor-HHS Appropriations Subcommittee, I will continue to advocate for the protection of hardworking Americans’ tax dollars.

Mine health safety is a top priority for me, and I am glad to hear the @USDOL’s plans to improve miner safety and increase preventative measures. I will continue to push for ways to support our miners, and look forward to collaborating with Acting Secretary @Sonderling47 on these efforts.
