Ok, so the app works in dev. Now need to build a version I could copy to other computers in our household (need one copy running on each user's computer)... and now everything I found on the internet talks about certificates, signing scripts, notarization, etc... is that really the way even for this small of a scale?

Building my first MacOS X app without any prior knowledge of Swift or anything else related to MacOS app development. Wish me and ChatGPT + Claude luck in this endeavour 😅

@kovyrin I haven't tried it yet, but Xcode now has AI predictive code completion and a Github Copilot plugin. Swift Assist is coming soon too. I think you can also connect Cursor with Xcode.

After months of using @cursor_ai daily, going into Xcode and writing every single character by hand feels like going back to the Stone Age.

I have been writing code professionally for over 20 years and I have yet to successfully write an AppleScript. Even AI assistants are flummoxed. Truly a read-only language.

I put on my big boy pants and stopped doing major DIY projects in my house. First contractor I needed was a drywall guy. Got 2 quotes and went with the second guy. Confirmed he could do the work Wed-Fri this week. Texted him today now that we're inside 24 hrs. He was sick yesterday and forgot he was going out of town on Thursday and can't come by. 🤦‍♂️ When was he going to tell me that? He apologized and said he could come the following Wed-Fri. I said let's go for it but if that falls through we're calling the next guy. Managing this dysfunction is in part why I always resorted to DIY. Why is it so hard for people to pick up the phone and communicate? These days, you don't even have to pick the phone up all the way to your face. You could stop at hip level and shoot me a text. If you're in the trades, this is your competition. You have no excuse.

@benjaminsehl It works for me, but I don't understand why I need to use a fake chatbot just to pay my property tax. And why can't I schedule all 3 instalments at once? I have to set calendar reminders to go talk to the stupid website every month.
