No I think they shot that in DC. But it was in a ton of 80s movie. But actually the hotel elevator scene in True Lies was the Bonaventure Hotel in down town LA.

Yeah I love seeing that mall in old movies especially COMMANDO. Its a shame when they decided to redo it they made it worse. And I never liked that movie theatre.
