But if you allow panhandling at intersections and private property, public space camps, sleeping in cars and public intoxication, then they will definitely take advantage.

So pay statement balance in full, then spend $100 before the next closing date (6 days usually).
No interest but shows a balance.

If a car in the left lane is traveling at the posted speed limit while a car behind wants to pass (exceed the speed limit/break the law), giving a ticket to the slower car is punishment for obeying the law and a reward to the car behind for violating the law (getting a ticket for >not< helping someone break the law). That's upside down illogic. What is the point of a speed limit if the government effectively encourages people to violate it and to help others do so?

@Loricatty @EllSimonds @gotrice2024 Red Cross actually does charity though. They showed up while my house was still on fire, gave me toiletries and $500 prepaid Visa for food/hotel/whatever.
They are not beyond reproach, but they do actually assist people in need.

This woman was shopping at her local Goodwill. She enjoys supporting it because she thought she was supporting homeless people.
A homeless man who lost everything to theft walked in holding a tent, he explained to the cashier that he had his stuff stolen and was hoping that they would donate some socks, a blanket and a pillow to him. They said no. So many people don’t realize that they aren’t a real charity, they are a used item store that’s for profit.
Knowing the image they have to helping the needy, and knowing they don’t actually help the needy, would you still shop there?

This woman saw a homeless person outside this coffee shop, she goes inside and tries to get the homeless person a coffee. The store worker declines and tells her he would be fired and it’s against their policy because once the homeless people know they can get customers to buy the things, they will keep harassing customers until they get what they want. Even though it’s just a cup of coffee, what would you have done, would you just got to another shop that values human life?
