When did we normalize this? When did it become okay for a president to tell a female reporter she’s a ‘dumb person’ for asking a totally legitimate question about his contradictory answers? Was there a specific date and time it become okay? Normal? Normalized?
In my lifetime, I've never seen a more selfish, greed-driven, and cynical congress. There is no doubt in my mind that if given the choice between holding on to power at the expense of American democracy, Republicans will choose fascism. Republicans are hellbent on creating a permanent underclass.
In the absence of section 8 and public housing, we would have mass shantytowns/favelas on the outskirts of our cities like many other cities around the world do and like the US used to have in the late 19th century.
