my company paid $150/mo for a translation SaaS. i replaced it in one Saturday, almost entirely with Claude Code. the money we stopped sending them covers ~75% of our @claudeai sub. so the tool we fired is funding the one that replaced it. dev.to/karan5599/tran…

Another great Friday session. We explored CI/CD pipelines, DevOps fundamentals, Docker, GitHub Actions, and compared GitHub vs GitLab to understand real-world deployment workflows. See you next week! @atharvdangedev @ManiarNamra @karanM5599 @priyanshup7363

Shikai is now available for closed testing on the play store and i genuinely cannot believe i'm typing this. my first ever app. out there. for people to actually use. this is insane. so here's the story. i was selected for chaicode's react native pilot batch with @surajtwt_ , and for the course-ending assignment, we had to build a github dashboard app. and honestly? that assignment was the push i needed. for years, i'd been thinking about building an app that would give me the full github web experience on my phone. the official github app is great for work stuff, but it never gave me that clean view of my own repos and contributions that i wanted. i always had this idea in my head but never really got around to actually building it. then this assignment came along, and the timing was perfect. i'd been working with react native for two years at that point, so i had the skills to actually pull this off without getting stuck on basics. and man, what a journey it's been. i started with a PAT token flow for signing in, thinking it was the simplest solution. but some of my founding testers pointed out how much friction it created. having to manually generate a token, paste it in, and then getting signed out when it expired because you forgot to regenerate it? that was a terrible experience. so i bit the bullet and integrated OAuth, the proper solution for this kind of thing. it took a lot of effort, but it was worth every second. built a contribution graph from scratch. made 5 themes because i couldn't pick just one. figured out offline support with no guide. broke things, fixed them, broke them again, and finally shipped v1.2.0. there were challenges for sure. debugging oauth at 3am, trying to add markdown rendering support, figuring out offline support with no guide. but every problem had a solution, and every solution made the app better. and now it's in closed testing. seeing users genuinely love this app and use it every day? that makes me happier than i can put into words. this started as a course assignment and turned into something people actually want to use. that's wild to me. 5 themes, global search, markdown preview, issue and PR screens, keyboard shortcuts, offline support, and a lot more. if you're a github user on android, please try it out. and if you have 2 minutes, fill out the feedback form. every single response helps me make this better. this is closed testing, so your feedback will directly shape the public launch. github: github.com/atharvdange618… (if you want to skip beta program and directly install the app) beta program: forms.gle/qdw2xTKfH9kGsm… feedback: forms.gle/dDrchwJTrqDJyj… to everyone who tested early builds, reported bugs, sent me encouraging messages, and just believed in me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. this app exists because of you. to @ChaiCodeHQ @Hiteshdotcom @nirudhuuu and my cohort batchmates, this assignment changed everything. thank you for the push ❤️ We're just getting started :)

@vidusheeshh Heck, they achieve more in 1 week than I do in a month. Reptilians or what?

Every big thing starts with a small conversation. A few ideas. Countless discussions. Months of building. And here we are. Years of building software taught us something simple: most teams keep adding features and call it progress. We'd rather find the actual problem and fix that. We also noticed businesses kept bending themselves to fit their software. Shouldn't it be the other way around? So today, we're launching SpaceBuilder. We turn ideas into real products, automate the workflows eating up your time, and build software that actually earns its place. Genuinely excited for this one, and grateful for the people building it with me. Let's go beyond plus ultra 🔥

Every business has unique problems. Generic software rarely solves them. Today, we're launching spacebuilder.in . We design and build custom software from websites and web and mobile apps engineered specifically around how your business actually works.

@mahanot_dikshit The urges to toggle back suggestions on when you turn it off or to go to a LLM when something bothers instead of going to Google is just f insane man.
