Interviewed a backend developer. Guy was at 21 LPA. We offered 28 LPA, roughly a 33 percent hike. He agreed and confirmed joining. Yesterday he emailed saying he got a 32 LPA offer elsewhere and now wants 36 LPA from us. Nonsense. Why agree in the first place. If you are still shopping offers just say it upfront. We stopped interviewing other candidates and waited through the notice period for the joining date. Now two days before joining, he came back with a new price tag.

Fed up with @EurekaForbes. Zero transparency, confusing sales pitches, & no consistent info. One person says the filter costs ₹5,200, the website says ₹4,100. One says the Dr series is discontinued, another pushes a new IoT model. A third says "just pay ₹780 for cleaning & all set." Can anyone suggest a water purifier brand that actually values transparency and service?

'Road Rage' is a serious and growing problem on Pune roads (and indeed, across the country). Our city and highway roads are in some kind of a 'state of (traffic) lawlessness'! Lack of adequate traffic police presence, poor enforcement and lack of any other strong deterrence results in rash driving, blatant traffic rules violation and worse... violence against other drivers. Roads, intersections where traffic was previously well managed (e.g. Senapati Bapat Road) and rules followed, have descended into chaos as the traffic police personnel have disappeared. CCTV based fines (if they are happening?) have no deterrence impact. Clearly as our cities, roads and number of vehicles have grown... the traffic police strength hasn't kept pace. This needs urgent attention in Pune, in Maharashtra, and in India! A candidate was supposed to join us on Monday. He emailed us yesterday asking us to match the offer of the other company - it was higher by almost 2 Lakhs. We responded to him immediately that we can't do that - and if he's not interested, we'll withdraw our offer. If he wants to join based on our original offer, we're looking forward to having him onboard. He responded - "I will join the other company" and we withdrew our offer. Apparently, he played the same trick at the other company showing our offer letter & asking them to bump it up. Coincidentally, I know the founder of that company & since he showed our offer letter to them, they reached out to us. We told them - we're not hiring him. If they want they can. They too got fed up of his constant negotiations & rescinded his offer. And the candidate now reached out to us to onboard him based on our original offer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Only if such candidates realised that they can always get a 'job' which pays them more, but they can't build a 'career' with such bargaining skills.

After using the iPhone 12 mini for almost a month I'd have to say the mini lineup was FAR more sensible than the Plus & Air models. I liked this form factor even with my ginormous hands. This series would sell much better in 2025 if it had better thermals & most importantly, a Si-C battery which would fix the biggest problem of this form factor. Apple can still have this whilst keeping the Air in their lineup but oh well, they're not gonna do it.

10 years ago, Yobyke died because of service issues. Ola is repeating the same mistake. I have reached out to @bhash over email to resolve this together. As we have served EV DOCTOR to 1000s of EV workshops, which can serve their customers to solve their problems. Many Ola customers (300+) have directly reached out to us last month, just asking for an unbiased battery checkup so that they can sue them. (But Ola's software protocol doesn't allow any independent diagnostics) And consumers are filled with rage. (This video is just a small recent example) Terms and resolutions could have been discussed, but share market pricing, PR and FOMO marketing seems more of a priority now. @OlaElectric You deserve the credit of starting EV revolution again in 2021, but this makes me sad. Let's solve this Bhavish, together..! @bhash
