I’m in a Facebook group of parents of matriculating college freshpersons and every day or so there’s something like this; it is INCONCEIVABLE that either of my parents would have given five percent of this much of a shit about something like this

@TheAthleticFC It’s pretty simple. His pace was his differentiator. He is older and the pace has dropped. He was never technically elite nor a top finisher.

“I feel pity because he was such a fantastic footballer. But if you feel pity… it’s over.” Jan Everse, the ex-Netherlands international, is not alone in feeling sad at Raheem Sterling’s decline. The man once tipped to win a Ballon d’Or cannot even get off the bench for Feyenoord and faces an uncertain future. So what’s gone wrong? And what happens next? @DTathletic nytimes.com/athletic/72534…

@chrisbrunet @SMU This is happening everywhere with these subcontinents in senior positions. It’s been happening in tech but growth has swept it under the rug. Watch closely in financial services.

@RichardHanania How about we try for everybody over 150? Even then, we had a big problem with treason on the Manhattan Project. There are no panaceas, but there are obviously self-destructive ideological dogmas like Open Borders.

How you know the race and IQ people are just bigots: if you take IQ seriously, your main cause should be getting everyone on earth with a 110 IQ or higher into your country. This would be the only logical position one can hold. But that's not what these people support!

@marcportermagee I understand UVA and Berkeley are considered elite state schools, especially for out of state kids. But are BU and Baylor considered elite schools? 9K+wait listed spots accepted and only 479 admitted? 5%!! All my days.

@LayoffAI What does it mean when they layoff 1000s of Americans before they eliminate a single h1b position? What does it mean when they hire foreign subcontinent with fake degrees before they hire one of our recent graduates? Why does our govt not do anything about this?

What do you call a company that lays off its American IT workers, outsources the work to Accenture, then hires the Accenture executive who sold them the outsourcing as their new tech chief? FedEx. Let me introduce you to Vishal Talwar. Last August, FedEx made him Executive Vice President, Chief Digital and Information Officer, and President of FedEx Dataworks. Before FedEx? Chief Growth Officer for Accenture Technology. Translation: he sold outsourcing and tech transformation services to Fortune Global 2000 companies. Companies like FedEx. In the same window, FedEx was firing Americans: · 2023: 800+ at FedEx Services · 2024: IT and Finance cuts at a 4B+ reduction · 2025: 1,500+ layoffs in Tennessee alone Who picked up the work? Accenture. Meanwhile, FedEx filed 5,800+ H-1B LCA applications from FY2015 to FY2025. The timeline: 1. FedEx fires American IT workers 2. Accenture takes the work (with offshore labor) 3. FedEx hires Accenture's Chief Growth Officer and makes him CDIO Hire the salesman of the company that took your American jobs. You don't hate these companies enough.

@charlesmurray I’ve use travel to Japan, SK, Taiwan and HK for work. That picture could be all women from SK. There are definitely distinct looks between each country. SK and Japan have similar features, skin tone and overall look. Taiwan and HK are sinilar. SE Asians have much darker skin.

@unusual_whales This nonsense is never ending. There was a Supreme Court ruling. Just cut federal funding to these schools until they can prove race is not used in admissions.

NEW: Former banker Chirayu Rana was offered $1 million by JPMorgan to settle his s*x slave allegations, which he countered at ~$12 million. The development comes as it has been revealed that Rana was referred for mental health treatment by the Manhattan DA's office. According to the WSJ, following weeks of mediation, JPMorgan sent a $1 million settlement offer to Rana and his lawyers in March. "We did try to reach an agreement to avoid the time and expense of litigation and to support an employee who was being threatened with the very reputational harm now unfolding," a spokesman for the bank said. "We continue to believe these allegations have no merit and new information raised as a result of the public filing only reinforces that conclusion." New reporting also reveals that the Manhattan DA's office referred Rana for mental health treatment after he alleged that he was traumatized by his boss. According to the New York Post, Rana sent an email to a therapist in June, saying he could hear Lorna Hajdini’s voice inside his head, saying he had "recurrent nightmares" about the alleged assaults.

@Steve_Sailer @TruueDiscipline This topic came up at thanksgiving. Here were the observations: more than half the Teslas you see are driven by them. Costcos are filled with them and they just leave carts anywhere. Odd amt of hotels in the Midwest and south owned by them. They primarily hire their own.

@TruueDiscipline There were a lot of Indians on the English-language Internet in the pre-Web days of 1992, but they tended to be genteel Anglophile highbrows. Nowadays, there are lots more Hindu nationalist chuds online in English, and they get on the nerves of the American nationalist chuds.

When was the exact moment that the internet turned on Indians? Even the old alt-right didn't really talk about Indians specifically that much. A lot of Indians say PewDiePies diss track did it but I don't think so. It was sometime during the post COVID immigration wave was there any specific event?

@WestsideLAGuy JPM just spent $4B for their new headquarters. It’s hard to believe any of their top people in the CIB or asset/wealth mgmt are moving. Same with other bulge bracket. Still a lot of conferences and company meetings held exclusively in the city.
