@IBKR_Europe It is a shame that your customer service is so bad, otherwise you would have more customers. Not a shitpost or spam, from an actual customer who has regularly warned others away from your platform to other platforms.

@robertlufkinmd @hyderabaddoctor Is it the difference between the ankle and calf circumference, or just how massive your calves are?
English

A simple body measurement may predict how long you live.
Calf circumference.
Muscle is longevity.

NDIS EXPOSED: Massive 52 minute investigation with @PeteZogoulas into Australia's immense disability fraud crisis.
This is Minnesota on a national scale. The NDIS budget - now approaching $50 billion a year - is closing in on Australia's entire military budget, and there is so much fraud in the system that the official government regulator told the Australian Senate there are not enough judges in Australia to try all known cases of fraud. The entire Australian legal system would collapse if they tried.
Up to 99% of alleged NDIS fraud goes unprosecuted. Out of over 7,000 tip-offs alleging fraud in the March quarter of 2025, just 16 cases (0.22%) were prosecuted.
So alleged scammers don't even bother to hide abuse.
To give you just one example: we visited a West Sydney NDIS provider operating out of the exact same address as a previous NDIS business the Australian government shut down for fraud four months ago. They were using the same accountant and THE EXACT SAME PHONE NUMBERS!
When we confronted them on camera, the owners physically assaulted us, smashed $800 worth of @PeteZogoulas's equipment, and staff screamed "RETARD" at us.
These people work in disability care.
Very legitimate and professional disability service business.
Watch the whole thing now. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

@chamath WTF, they should be looking at these books and learning lessons from them. The UK is cooked
English

I have been a citizen of two countries of the British Commonwealth as I grew up (Sri Lanka and Canada) before I emigrated to America 26 years ago.
I used to look up to Britain. I admired their institutions. Mostly, I was deeply proud of their heritage and customs.
But their current course and speed will lead to collapse and demise.
How has a country so historically great become so self-loathing?
How did the “Empire on which the sun never sets” become this broken and backwards?
There are many dark lessons to be learned here about the ravages of rampant immigration, guilt, censorship and national decay.
The Culturist@the_culturist_
The UK government flagged these books (among others) as potential signs of far-right extremism. List includes Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, Hobbes' Leviathan, Milton's Paradise Lost. You may be an extremist if you've read these. What else would you add to the list?
English

@PeterMcCormack Your countries politicians are the same type of clowns as we have in Australia. Not sure any company CEO would be able to grow a business if the words were "average", "passive", "my pace"
English

@PaulineHansonOz I thouhgt we had our own oil reserves that we export overseas. Why not just stop exporting them or insist that the drilling companies allocate a portion to Australia so something like this doesn't happen? Oh sorry, I forgot Labour and Liberal are captured by these companies.
English

Australia’s fuel stocks are running on empty.
As motorists face down 60c a litre price spikes, the Liberal and Labor obsession with Net-Zero means all but two refineries have closed in Australia.
With 25 days of diesel, 26 days of petrol, and 20 days of jet fuel, we are more vulnerable than ever.
A country that can’t fuel itself will end up with food shortages, hospitals going dark and the nation grinding to a halt.
That’s why One Nation proposed an inquiry into fuel security and refining - which Labor and Greens teamed up to vote down.
Refineries closed down under both Liberal and Labor. Only One Nation has been calling out fuel security for a decade.
The government could also provide immediate relief to Australians by cutting the fuel excise tax in half and providing help until we get our refineries back up and running.

The IRGC is now firing toward civilian balconies to suppress anti-regime chanting. Meanwhile, Bahrain has been hit again by IRGC drone activity. Tehran is fighting on two fronts: • Crushing dissent at home • Escalating regionally

German Chancellor Merz:
We are simply no longer productive enough. Each individual may say, “I already do quite a lot.” And that may be true.
But when you return from China, ladies and gentlemen, you see things more clearly.
With work-life balance and a four-day week, long-term prosperity in our country cannot be maintained. We will simply have to do a bit more.

@XFreeze Send in @nayibbukele he will solve the issue in a few weeks.

Mexico's President said using military force against cartels is a "human rights violation"
Now those same cartels are destroying entire cities, killing innocent people, and displacing thousands of civilians from their homes
This is how leftists operate - they show empathy for criminals and none for victims, and essentially treat criminals above victims, which is suicidal
She let the cartels run the country for years. Now it's all consequences of her own actions
English

@WClemente @qthomp Companies find it much easier to reduce taxes than individuals and typically the corporate tax rate is a lot lower. So even as their profitability increases because they have less employees, they will ways to pay less tax.

Teams need to start treating their token as if it's equity
Teams that treat their token as 'valueless governance tokens' will find the market treats them the same way
If teams start treating their tokens as equity, then we can solve our bad coins problem
