Although I was never a huge supporter of EVs 🚗⚡️ Mainly because I never liked the driving feel compared to ⛽️ cars… I have to admit now: EVs are going to be a massive part of the future of automobiles In fact, in India, EVs are probably the only automobile technology that looks stable for the next 10 years

@tushv24 @JayPrashanth The fan below the radar in my 9S (same for all MBEV's ) is for battery preconditioning which is useful in the exact scenario mentioned above.

Real Life BE6 ownership Review by @JayPrashanth Pro Tip: Before DC Fast Charging an EV always wait for 5 minutes before triggering the charge when on long drive to let the battery cool down and come in normal state. I do it for my Harrier.EV because plugging in DC Charging of 120-180kw charging causes lots of heat for battery which triggers low power mode in @mahindraesuvs & Charging to be stopped/Battery Charging warning to be triggered for @Tataev for 10-15 minutes.

11,000 kms done in about 3 months on the Mahindra BE6 Pack2 79 kWh. The car will be sent for second (10k) service tomorrow. No niggles as such but fast charging at above 120 kW on hot days causes the car to go into Reduced Performance mode. This mode reduces acceleration but triple digit speeds still possible. On a recent Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore trip, the car was charged at about 150 kW at a ChargeZone fast charger attached to a Cafe Coffee Day outlet near Vellore. It threw up the reduced performance message on the cluster when the throttle pedal was floored. So, acceleration reduces but the car still manages to do 100-140. I think this is a battery protection feature. Workaround 1: Use the touchscreen to choose charging speed. There are 3 speeds to choose from: low, mid and high. Choose mid so that charging speeds are limited to 120 kW, thereby limiting the chance of the car going into Reduced Performance mode. Workaround 2: Stop for 10-15 minutes and let the car cool down. This brings it out of reduced performance mode. This is the second time this was observed. It happened in the first month of ownership, after fast charging at 180 kW at a Charge-In station near Chittoor AP. Should observe how it goes in cooler months. Apart from this, the BE6 has been more or less niggle free. It's fast and fun. A head turner. Real world range is about 450 Kms when driven normally (no babying or hypermiling tactics used). Everyday mode mostly. AC always on. Between 20-22 degrees. Loud music always playing. It also has a fantastic audio. Good for a nuclear family. Though it's not a low slung car like a sedan or a premium hatchback, getting in and out for elders is a challenge. Parking in tight spaces and driving on congested roads without a 360 camera means spatial awareness has to be extra high. Many may find this stressful. Such people must buy the trim with the 360 camera. Won't recommend aftermarket/retrofitment because it may lead to warranty issues. It's the last thing one should risk on an EV, as aftermarket support and repair is poor/non existent.

@ferrarirules86 @saikrishnasunku I'd disagree with @ferrarirules86 in case of the variant. You never know when can the extra 50-60 km be of use (79kWh pack). So, it's better choosing the P3 or P2A 79kWh variant. No doubt, this car is the way to go. (I have a 9S Pack 3)

@tushv24 @adiag91 Yep! I too am fully satisfied with my 9S (Pack 3). Drives like a charm! The suspension issue got wayy too much backlash by media houses than it should have.

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is actually a very underrated option. It doesn’t get talked about as much because the EV discussion is dominated by SUVs, but for families it makes a lot of sense. ✅ Practical 6/7-seat layout ✅ Up to 490 km claimed range (51.4 kWh battery) ✅ Comfortable ride and feature-loaded cabin ✅ ADAS, V2L, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof ✅ One of the few affordable 3-row EVs in India The main reason enthusiasts don’t suggest it often is that it’s an MPV, not a trendy SUV, and buyers looking for maximum range or performance usually compare it with Harrier EV, BE 6, XEV 9e, etc. But for people who need space for 6-7 passengers, the Clavis EV is arguably one of the most sensible EVs on sale today. 🚗⚡ #Kia #CarensClavisEV #EVIndia @VahanWarta @volklub @Xroaders_001 @ferrarirules86 @Shaggy7979 @Kia @PulakPrakriti @tushv24 autocarindia.com/cars/kia/caren…

@mahindraesuvs @anandmahindra Dear Mahindra, I bought a XEV 9S in March 2026. One feature you advertised was the 'Lounge Desk'. It was a feature and not an accessory as confirmed by many dealers across India on forums like TBHP. (1/2)
