@TheMonkeyJungle Consistency in fiction can be important to maintain believability but if a coughing baby beat Goku in a fight the analysis shouldn’t be “well that means the baby is more powerful than frieza and piccolo” but “why did the author make that decision and does it help the story”

That's called power DYNAMICS. PowerSCALING is a deliberate, debate-fueled form of engagement for the purposes of scaling power. It seeks to measure and quantify weak vs. strong, winners or losers, etc. I don't agree it's "new." It's been around for ages. But it's not integral.

@reallifeuzi The pilot felt far too economical with its time, but I get it, if you've got like 24 minutes to sell people on your show and get a season greenlit, you would cut as much fat as possible, and you need to prioritize solidifying the premise and the main character (kit)

This is the absolute worst writing decision so far. Having this be the trailer instead of having it in the episode makes the actual opening feel very jarring, alongside Gobbles' entire role in the pilot itself feeling very sudden and random. They should've had THIS be the opening
