Tom Steyer: “I’m totally in favor of trans athletes in high school. When you understand the vulnerability, the stress, the danger of being a trans kid and you understand almost half of them try to commit suicide. Then you think we’re gonna punish those kids, we’re gonna cut them off from team sport. It’s like, no we’re not”

@Ric_RTP @kwstewart94 That’s weird Microsoft employees are being mandated to use AI or they will be laid off- execs to assistants. Using AI is slow and annoying to skilled workers, now being forced to integrate with daily tasks. The next round of layoffs offs revolves around using AI daily.

Microsoft just banned its own engineers from using AI. The tool was literally costing MORE than the humans it was supposed to replace. They lied to you about AI adoption and now the whole narrative is blowing up: Microsoft gave thousands of engineers access to Claude Code six months ago and encouraged them to use it. Engineers loved it and adoption exploded. But then the invoices arrived. Token-based pricing means every query, every code review, every debugging session costs money. At scale across 100,000 engineers, the numbers became so large that Microsoft issued an internal order to cancel nearly all Claude Code licenses by end of June and force everyone onto their own cheaper tool instead. The company that invested $5 billion in Anthropic just told its own people to stop using Anthropic's product because it costs too much. Uber's story is even worse... Their CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga told The Information that the budget he planned for the full year was "blown away already" by April. Uber had rolled out Claude Code in December 2025. By March, 84% of their 5,000 engineers were using it with 70% of all committed code coming from AI systems. Heavy users were burning $500 to $2,000 per month each. Naga himself spent $1,200 in a single two-hour demo session. The company had even built internal leaderboards ranking engineers by how much AI they used. They literally gamified the spending and then ran out of money. Now look at what Nvidia's own VP of applied deep learning Bryan Catanzaro said to Axios last month. Direct quote: "For my team, the cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees." This is a VP at the company that SELLS the chips saying that using AI is more expensive than paying humans. Think about what this means for the entire AI narrative. Every CEO on every earnings call for the past two years has said the same thing: AI will make us more efficient, reduce headcount, and cut costs. The stock market rewarded every company that said it. Fired workers, stock goes up. Announced AI adoption, stock goes up. But the actual companies deploying AI at scale are discovering the math doesn't work. The MORE employees use AI, the HIGHER the bill. Goldman Sachs forecasts a 24x increase in token consumption by 2030 as companies adopt AI agents. Gartner just published a report showing that even though individual token prices will drop 90% by 2030, total enterprise AI costs will go UP because agents consume exponentially more tokens per task than basic tools. Meta built an internal dashboard called "Claudeonomics" to track which employees use the most AI. Amazon started pushing engineers to "tokenmaxx," their internal term for consuming as many AI tokens as possible. Both companies are spending hundreds of billions on AI infrastructure this year alone. And Microsoft, the company that bet its entire future on AI, just told 100,000 engineers to stop using the tool they liked best because the per-token bills got out of control. The companies building AI are telling investors it saves money. The companies using AI are finding out it costs more than the humans it was supposed to replace. And even the company that makes the chips just admitted it through its own VP. This is the gap nobody on Wall Street is pricing in. $725 billion in AI infrastructure spending this year across Big Tech. And the first companies to actually deploy these tools at scale are already pulling back because the economics don't work. What do you think?

California congressional candidate Mai Vang (@MaiForUs) refuses to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and turns her back on the U.S. flag during public meetings. The Sacramento City Councilmember has openly boasted about the practice at ceremonies, drawing sharp criticism as she campaigns for higher office. One would think that since her parents came through the U.S. refugee resettlement system and were provided legal entry and pathways to citizen status, she would be more grateful. But what can any of us expect from any Democrat in California. California law does require all public officers, including city council members, to take and subscribe to a specific Oath of Office before assuming their duties. This is mandated by the California Constitution (Article XX, Section 3) and Government Code sections like 1360. The standard oath reads (in part): “I, ___________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I am about to enter.” It also includes a loyalty provision against advocating the overthrow of the government by force or violence. This oath must be taken, signed, and filed (usually with the city clerk) before entering office. Failure to do so can prevent assuming duties or lead to vacancy in extreme cases. Many cities (including Sacramento) have similar charter or code provisions mirroring this. Now I wonder how many of them sign this without planning on abiding by it.

BAD BILL ALERT: Sacramento Democrats want SPECIAL TREATMENT for illegal immigrants in the criminal justice system. AB 2669 would pressure prosecutors to go easier on illegal immigrants over fears of deportation — while American citizens could face harsher punishment for the EXACT SAME crimes. Justice should be EQUAL. You do the crime; you do the time. Tell the legislature: VOTE NO on AB 2669.

I tracked down the actual written rule, and it is hilariously petty: vendors may only move items if they are “carried by hand, by one person, in one trip, without dollies, hand trucks, or other mechanical equipment.” If hobbyists and small vendors are being forced to pay $150 just to use their own cart to move their own inventory to tables they already paid for, that is union work rules stretched beyond common sense. Nobody from the union is moving the cards. The vendor is doing the work himself. They say they are fighting exploitation. Then they write rules so petty that two vendors helping each other carry boxes could technically be a violation.

🚨 Teamsters Turn San Diego Card Party Into a $150 Union Toll Booth Card-show vendors at San Diego’s Card Party say they were charged $150 just to roll their own inventory into the event on carts. These vendors are not giant corporations. They’re mostly hobbyists, collectors, and small business owners trying to bring boxes and cases of cards to tables they already paid for. They expected loading-dock rules. What they say happened instead is that the “anything with wheels” rule was allegedly enforced at the front door too. This is union power running wild — a $150 toll booth for ordinary people trying to move their own inventory into a show they already paid to attend.

Berkeley, California has implemented new “going green” rules for homeowners These aren’t optional upgrades, they’re mandated “New rules are in effect requiring many home sellers to make eco-friendly upgrades or pay up before handing over the keys. And while other cities encourage green improvements, Berkeley is believed to be the first in the nation to tie mandatory upgrades directly to the sale of a home” “Non-green appliances could soon be a thing of the past in Berkeley. Before many homeowners can sell property, they now have to show just how energy efficient the home is” I looked into this and found Homes must meet a new ‘Home Energy Score’ Sellers must hire a certified assessor before listing the property. The score is between 1–10 and must be disclosed in MLS listings Properties need to achieve a minimum of 6 credits through approved energy efficiency and electrification upgrades Some items include Heat pump water heater Heat pump HVAC Solar panels + battery storage Insulation, efficient windows, EV charger, induction range, electrical panel upgrades Some upgrades are cheap, some can by $50,000+

Trans women arrested due to 1 million dollar warrant for crimes against his own kids.  The case of Michelle Blessent, formerly known as James Blessent, serves as a dark reminder of how individuals can manipulate trust to commit heinous acts against the most vulnerable. Before transitioning to Michelle, the defendant—as James—did the unthinkable violating his own 9 year old daughter and his son that was 8. A grand jury issued a warrent for his arrest that eventually led to the arrest by the Bloomington Police Department. Blessent was indicted on multiple counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child under 13. A second set of charges involving another victim followed This case isn’t just about the charges; it’s about the systematic abuse of power and the devastating impact on victims.  Blessent pleaded guilty to: Two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Victim Under 13. One count of Grooming. Sentence: On the same day, Blessent was sentenced to 42 years on each of the two assault counts and 3 years on the grooming count, for a total of 87 years in prison (sentences run consecutively). Blessent must serve at least 85% of the sentence and will not be eligible for parole until 2095. Blessent is in an all female prison in the state of Illinois.  How do you feel about this, was justice served, should Blessent be in a female prison?

This methyl methacrylate leak is at the Garden Grove site of GKN Aerospace, wholly owned by Melrose Industries, a UK based company which conducted a hostile takeover of GKN in 2018. The takeover of a business with U.S. defense contracts, sensitive technology and facility clearances by a foreign company must be approved by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. On June 25, 2018, the time of the Melrose-GKN review and clearance, CFIUS was chaired by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. The core voting members included: • Secretary of the Treasury — Steven Mnuchin (Chair) • Secretary of State — Rex Tillerson (until March 2018), then Mike Pompeo • Secretary of Defense — James Mattis • Secretary of Homeland Security — Kirstjen Nielsen (or acting predecessors) • Secretary of Commerce — Wilbur Ross • Secretary of Energy — Rick Perry • Attorney General — Jeff Sessions • U.S. Trade Representative — Robert Lighthizer • Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy — Kelvin Droegemeier (or acting) The tank overheated and began venting vapors on May 22, escalating overnight into an unsecure situation officials describe as having two outcomes: a toxic spill of 6,000-7,000 gallons or thermal runaway explosion.
Fox News@FoxNews

What started out as a chemical leak has now escalated into an emergency officials say could end in a massive explosion. Fire crews in Orange County, California, spent hours trying to stabilize a 34,000-gallon tank containing volatile chemicals before announcing that the tank “cannot be secured or mitigated.” Officials say the situation has narrowed to two possibilities: a catastrophic spill of toxic chemicals or a thermal runaway event capable of igniting neighboring tanks. Police are urging residents to leave evacuation zones immediately as emergency shelters open for displaced families.
