I just can’t behind the War Doctor as portrayed in Day of the Doctor- he doesn’t do or is said to have done anything that would make us believe he doesn’t deserve the Doctor title, & his setup clashes hard with him being a “comedic” grump for most of the episode.

My statement on the appalling footage from Manchester Airport: “The video footage of a Greater Manchester police officer kicking and stamping on a man in Manchester Airport is truly shocking and disturbing. Like many who have seen this clip, I am extremely concerned. I have had it confirmed that the man arrested is a Rochdale resident and I hope to meet the family as soon as possible. I have expressed my concerns directly to the Assistant Chief Constable this evening and have been in touch with Kate Green, Deputy Mayor for policing of Greater Manchester. It’s right that the police officer concerned has been removed from duties and that this incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct. I expect a thorough and swift investigation.”

35 years ago today, June 13th 1989 probably the most divisive Bond film had its premiere at the Odeon Leicester Square. To some it’s the nadir of the series whilst to some it remains one of the best (to yours truly it is the best) of the series. #JamesBond
