I am reading 50 books this year. What book recommendations for me?

@type_iix @PauMoreno10 So… “it depends”😂 Completely agree and appreciate all your higher level input. I’m a constant consumer of all the info out there. Unfortunately there is so much opinion out there that it has become a “this is the definitive way” vs “it depends, so I can’t comment” conversation

@skellerDVM @PauMoreno10 This is where I prefer an individualized approach. We’ve worked with hundreds of clients and I’ve consulted with even more. I can say this is where there’s no one answer for everyone. There are good solutions for some, mediocre solutions for some, but none for others.

Everyone's talking about fat/lactate oxidation and endurance performance. This misses the true purpose and evolutionary genius of mitochondria and why biogenesis happens as an adaptation. Why are mitochondria the origins of endurance performance? 🧵

@type_iix @PauMoreno10 So is there an applicable intervention when an athlete has maxed out training volume/time. Maybe something more than “it depends”?

Friends, if I want to make a video alternating between sharing my screen and speaking to the camera... What do you recommend? I've figured out PowerPoint captions but it will be easier to explain Dynamic Loading jumping between hrv4T.com and @trainingpeaks

One year later, almost like clockwork, my Polar H10 HR strap goes belly up. Battery replacement didn't do a thing. Not gonna lie, this is disappointing @PolarGlobal. But same thing has happened with Wahoo, Garmin, and Stages HR straps.I guess it's just a disposable piece of gear.

Oh, glitchy heart-rate strap, it's time to finally put you out of your misery. YOU HAD ONE JOB. You don't even have any moving parts!

@runcandice I get the same thing. But if I eat almost right as I start exercising or eat lower glycemic food, then I don’t usually get it. Try balancing some fat/protein with your pre run meal.

@runcandice Do you eat within 30-60 min of starting your run? Sounds like hypoglycemia. Eating —> insulin release to create glycogen stores. Exercise —> insulin release to move glucose out of blood stream to working muscles. If you have too much insulin, you’ll get a transient hypoglycemia

Starting my runs (in first 1-2miles) I’ve had increasing incidences of weakness, mental fogginess, bordering on shaky/dizzy, but never lost consciousness. Sometimes have to walk/sit down. Seems to dissipate after 20mile-1hr. Anyone else have that? Low blood sugar?
