This clownshow of a Presidency: where a dangerously unstable monomaniac—surrounded by avaricious courtiers—confronts his Suez & Gallipoli on the same day. His own strategists aware that #Hormuz cannot be contested without frightful loss of men & matériel bbc.co.uk/news/live/c8jk…

“Starmer must end this involvement in Iran and stop the King's visit to the USA.” @ZackPolanski calls on Starmer to show leadership - stop UK involvement in illegal wars, refuse concessions to Trump, and oppose normalising fascism through inappropriate state visits.

Curious that a Labour interviewee gets a classic @BBCr4today roasting over increased costs to UK businesses. A #Trump apologist is platformed & thanked uninterrupted to advance the most truly ludicrous rewrite of the #IranWar strategy, without a single sceptical question

Entirely misses the point that it's a death penalty that only applies to one ethnicity, the Palestinians, a people who are illegally occupied, living under military rule and subject to dispossession, constant violence and ethnic cleansing
Yvette Cooper@YvetteCooperMP

My statement with France, Germany and Italy on our united opposition to Israel’s death penalty law. The death penalty is wrong and we oppose it around the world. gov.uk/government/new…

I'm confused. Shamima Begum is not allowed back into the UK because she was groomed into becoming an ISIS bride when she was just a child, but Al Golani, the man who was a literal leader of ISIS and Al Qaida is allowed to visit Downing Street? How does that work?

After the right to torture Palestinians, Apartheid Israel claims the right to HANG Palestinians. The shame of the century continues. Ben Gvir belongs in The Hague.

URGENT: UN experts @FranceskAlbs and @profbensaul deplore #Israel’s adoption of the death penalty law which violates international law and risks discriminatory application against #Palestinians and call for its immediate repeal.

BBC News: Keir Starmer and Wes Streeting are trying to bribe doctors to call off next weeks strike, by saying that if they don't extra training places won't be created Just to be clear, these aren't 'extra' training places, these are training places And if the general public understood the meaning of this, they would be standing alongside doctors striking Never thought I'd be as disgusted with Labour as I was disgusted with the Conservatives, but here we are

To criticize Obama for not bombing Syria over the 2013 Ghouta chemical attack, one has to negate the actual history. In reality, Obama backed down because his top intelligence officials warned him that the case against Assad was not a "slam dunk" -- a deliberate reference to the Iraq WMD hoax. That's because there is ample evidence that Ghouta was a false flag by insurgents hoping to trigger US military strikes.
Aaron Y. Zelin@azelin

Whatever criticisms one may have of Trump’s decision-making, does not negate the fact that Obama’s redline backdown on Syria will still go down in history as a horrible decision, too

Spain condemns the death penalty for Palestinians passed by the Israeli parliament. This is an asymmetrical measure, as it would not apply to Israelis who committed the same crimes. This is not justice. It is a further step towards apartheid. The world cannot remain silent.

Mismo crimen, distinta pena. Eso no es justicia. Es un paso más hacia el apartheid. El mundo no puede callar.

The IMF see it - our reliance on gas is our problem - not just that we use it for making power though, that we allow the price of gas to set the price of the wind and sun here in Britain. A crazy unjustifiable market mechanism that added £43 billion to our energy bills in the last fossil fuel crisis (just 3 years ago) - along with 1.5 percentage points to inflation and 1 pp to Bank of England lending rates. And drive 1 million more people into energy poverty. Why do we allow this to continue - why do we not break the link. telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…

I must qualify this statement in the interests of accuracy: Not even apartheid South Africa codified executions for only one ‘race group’. Israel is now the most racist state the world has known since Nazi Germany. As the son of a Holocaust survivor who lost dozens of her family, I say this cautiously & with extreme pain. But it is now fact!
Andrew Feinstein@andrewfeinstein

Labour saying Starmer 'keeping Britain out of the war' will be part of their local elections campaign. But it's untrue. There are 27 US B52s at RAF Fairford, launching bombing raids. Starmer has made Britain part of Trump's war. He could have just said no, like Spain's PM.

Never forget the real reason the West hates Iran. In 1951, Prime Minister Mossadegh did the unthinkable: he nationalized Iran's oil to benefit his own people instead of the British Empire. He put his nation first, and for that, Washington and London targeted him.
