We do need them. People are happy right now with their little 300 BAUD modem AI whichbruns at 100 to 150 tokens per second. Imagine what we engineers can do with 5,000 tokens per second. What about 50,000. Think -> real time video game generation, real time app creation, realtime movie creation, realtime brain to AI interface, etc. None of those are feasible atm the moment because we are waiting for those pathetic few hundred tokens per second...

Honest question... There are 4,000 to 5,000 data centers, with another 1,500 more planned to be built in the next year... AI doesn't need these many to operate. Let alone the water and energy needed to run. So why are there so many?!
