There were securely a good amount that were just riding the hype of Abstract August and some other factors I’d say the same for NFTs as well, there’s barely any left that put in the effort and never gave up We definitely had some that kept the course that aimed to be IP or “social currency” in the pengu play book but lacked funding after so long with the unfortunate reality that almost ever coin launched off moonit with 0 fees going to the project Things like Gooner, Polly & Abster (which now seems to be an exception) were hard for team to monetize since they’re all pudgy based IP. It’s good to see that shift a bit. @godthedogabs has been the standout for me seeing it as one of the only non-penguin, original IP that hasn’t taken a foot off the gas. So it’s nice to see that Abstract has been showing it love especially on the wrapped event. Slowly I’ve seen more people start to realize that the difference between ERC-20 and ERC-721 brands/IP/memes are essentially the liquidity and fractionalization. The same reason Pengu exists, so that anyone with any amount of money can be a part of the community.

I think @PurgyPengoon is probably the freest opportunity for a really good team to CTO a project with baked in mindshare

Listened to the recent @AbstractChain space with @abschud, @DailaX and honestly - a lot of things make more sense now. The main issue wasn’t even the XP changes themselves, but how they were communicated. That part was handled poorly, and the team owned it. But the direction? It actually feels logical. XP was never meant to be some infinite farming meta. The goal was to drive real onchain activity and build something that could attract actual partners and use cases. Instead, people found ways to game it - stacking cheap NFTs, splitting wallets, optimizing purely for points. At that stage, the system stops making sense. And here’s the uncomfortable truth: if your ecosystem is filled with low-quality, farm-driven activity, you’re not getting serious brands or long-term value. Another big point - XP was never supposed to be the foundation for NFT projects. It was a boost, not the endgame. Strong projects don’t rely on external incentives to survive. If people are ready to leave just because rewards change, that’s already a weak base. That’s why comparisons like Pudgy make sense - they built a full funnel, not just hype + rewards. Also worth saying: Abstract is probably one of the few teams actually listening this closely to the community. Features, changes, even small tweaks - a lot of it comes directly from user feedback. But that only works if feedback stays constructive. There’s a big difference between criticism and just noise or эмоции. Feels like what we’re seeing now is just a transition phase: from farming → to real product from short-term incentives → to long-term value It’s messy, people are frustrated, but this shift was kinda inevitable. Curious how things evolve from here, but at least now the direction is clearer. ✳️

“Wen Abstract TGE” “No comment, but it’ll be different” I’ve said all along that $SEA will be KYC. You will KYC after huge sales have already begun. They will complete this process under a corporation or something ahead of time. The process will be clunky and the traffic will crush their site during this process while you watch the token plummet. Unless they wait for “better market conditions” so there is volume to support their slippage. Many won’t KYC at all further supporting their chart. Abstract will likely not KYC (I hope). But you also won’t get full allocation at TGE. Instead you will get a portion. Then you will earn the ability to claim further portions with your future XP accrual. Supporting the chart and dispersing sales while retaining or even boosting chain activity and volume. While I don’t disagree with this method, it does feel a bit ball and chain and should be communicated now rather than later. Same with $SEA and any other TGE. Plans, terms, whatever you want to call it should be public knowledge immediately. Otherwise we might as well call it insider trading by teams, vcs, etc who knew well in advance and make it advantageous knowing you are blind to it until it’s too late for you. I’m bullish on Abstract even amongst the fud. I believe everything they do has a plan behind it that benefits both them and us. But there is always room for improvement. I care. I want as many of you to win as possible. If I can help make that happen I will. I am a thinker (even if under equipped 😂). All I think about is how we can improve this space for everyone that isn’t an extractor. How can this be good for users, consumers, people.
