@andrewsnitch @Dave1026380452 @essendonfc Elite? That’s a bit of a stretch. McKay’s numbers in his first year with us in 2024 is similar if not better than his good years at North. And he was injured most of last year. So not sure what you are on about. Do you go the games or watch on TV?

@SilentGhost263 The reason I picked Vlaustin is while we are lacking leadership overall (Merrett aside) we really need leadership in the backline imo. Vlaustin is a 3 time premiership defender who was in a great system and knows how to drive flag winning defensive standards on the field.

@absoessendon Stay the course at least till end of the year. His first 2 years he had the Dodoro/Mahoney issue hanging over the place and poor prior drafting. Last year with the injuries. He needs time to develop the new kids. But he would want to fix up the defensive issues by mid year bye

Is there any point in terminating the coach’s contract so soon in the season? Wouldn’t this just pass the same problem onto the next coach? It’s being reported that the payout could be more than $1M. What do you guys think?

My recollection is he was helping Joey and the other forwards with their kicking a couple of days a week back in 2014 or 2015. He chose to stop because he was still in the media and making comments about the club and that was making things weird.

Let’s not forget that Lloyd was a huge advocate for Scott. It hasn’t gone as expected. But the club has had an identity crisis long before him and lazy players. Criticism is fine, but it’s not like he’s offering any solutions.
