#BREAKINGNEWS Agents of Djibouti, allegedly backed by Somaliland’s former president Muse Bihi Abdi @musebiihi who became known for electoral defeat have now staged violently protest in the town of Sheekh that is being used to destabilize Somaliland’s security, while also blocking vehicles traveling between Burao and Berbera. The people protesting and blocking the road are asking the release of clan extremists Suldaan Qabiile who previously threatened to destroy buildings in Hargeisa and Berbera. Cowardly @musebiihi , who together with his family became wealthy from Somaliland’s resources that they allegedly looted during the 7 years he led Somaliland, has since the end of 2024, when he suffered a major defeat in Somaliland’s presidential election been causing unrest and chaos in Somaliland in an attempt to destabilize the security and internal stability of the Republic of Somaliland, particularly in Hargeisa and the southern parts of the Sahil region. Somaliland’s security forces should investigate the relationship between Djibouti @IsmailOguelleh and former president @musebiihi @SomalilandNIA @SomalilandNIA

One takeaway from this US State Dept report is the detrimental impact of Somaliland continuing to accommodate diplomatic staff based out of Mogadishu. We now have another undeniable datapoint. By accepting this arrangement, @somalilandmfa is actively enabling the status quo.

It is deeply concerning to see the recent US report reducing Somaliland’s status to a mere "region of Somalia." Even more troubling is our own government’s quiet acceptance of this narrative, a clear betrayal of our sovereignty. This shift stems directly from misguided and treasonous collaboration with parts of Somalia. The press release issued by the Fusion Centre was clear evidence that this would be the outcome. Through these flawed measures and frameworks, @Abdirahmanirro has legitimised Mogadishu's agenda. Somaliland has a proven track record of peace, with zero terrorism on our soil. Yet, Hassan Sheikh and Said Deni are pushing a false "northern Somalia" terror narrative. Cirro and his treasonous administration are actively aiding them by accepting this and working with them, compromising everything we have worked towards including the extensive diplomatic efforts of the previous government and the Project 2025 blueprint, which explicitly advocated for the US recognition of the Republic of Somaliland under Donald Trump.
