I'm realizing it would be helpful to know your approximate ages, if you are comfortable sharing either here or privately! The film is set in present-day Hong Kong, and I'm not sure how much might have changed recently. Thank you so much, guys!
katereilly.bsky.social@bobbiharlow

Hong Kong friends, I'm working on a short film set in a secondary school. I'd be grateful for your help. Did you read any Shakespeare plays when you were in secondary school? Relatedly, did you attend a local school, or an international one? Please and thank you!

With the approval of yesterday’s motion, now begins an open and transparent process to identify a qualified proponent to bring Major League Baseball to Vancouver. League expansion is on the horizon and we know Vancouver would be the ideal home for a new MLB team. This will be a once-in-a-generation opportunity to bring something really special to Vancouver, stay tuned.

There's a nice surprise at the end of the episode, so from the bottom of my heart, thanks to everyone who contributed to that! And to Audrey and Ben Luhmann who did the interview, the editing, and the truly lovely music.

Here's a new Wall of Silence episode. This time, I'm the one being interviewed, by @ACNAtoo member Audrey Luhmann. I share more of my story than I have before about my former bishop trying to get me to stop the podcast and why I decided to keep going. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ep-…

So, wait a minute. $24m, cost of money @5% is $1.2M annually, over 4500 people is $266/yr, or about $22 per resident per month. I assume the cable requires little or no maintenance. Starlink is an ongoing cost of $140 per resident per month, even at 4 people sharing a connection that still comes to $35/mo. Looks like the government picked the cheaper option.

I’m running to Bring Back BC. After years of economic decline, attacks on property rights and parental authority, and growing disorder in our communities, it’s clear: this government has lost its way. Through hard work, I earned the trust of voters in Richmond-Queensborough, unseating the NDP incumbent and current party president to send a message that BC can do better. Now I’m fighting for the Province where hard work is rewarded, families thrive, parents have a voice, and opportunity flourishes. It’s time to rebuild trust, restore order, and reignite BC’s potential. It’s time to Bring Back BC. Join me: BringBackBC.ca

A OneBC government will restore the name of the Pattullo Bridge, a name that is historic and that all British Columbians can actually pronounce. In fact, we will be restoring all names that have been improperly and undemocratically changed.

🚨NEW BC announces the name for the Pattullo Bridge Replacement.... it will be called the: stal̕əw̓asəm in the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language A 2 page guide and a video is being provided by the government to pronounce this written language which was made up at UBC in 2007.

But if a sector or company becomes so exposed to China that its economic survival depends on it, then the Chinese Communist Party can—and will—use it as leverage to influence policy choices in Ottawa. That’s how pressure and elite capture accumulates—quietly, agreement by agreement, not through one dramatic concession.

PM @MarkJCarney's government has to strike a very careful balance between seeking economic opportunities while safeguarding national interest. In an interview with @nytimes, I urged Mr. Carney to be cautious as he embarks on this new phase in Canada-China relations.

Premier Eby has admitted that decriminalization was a failed experiment. Vancouverites already knew that…they’ve been living with the consequences every day. The federal exemption expires at the end of this month. We need the Premier to follow through and end decriminalization for good. Compassion means helping people get off the street and into care, not leaving them in dangerous situations. It’s been over a year since mandatory care beds were promised, and Vancouver has yet to see a single new bed. We need mandatory care, real treatment, and action now to keep vulnerable residents and Vancouverites safe. vancouversun.com/opinion/column…

Michael Ma floor crossing guide: Wed: attend caucus, participate in voluntary secret Santa, go to CPC party without paying, saying “I’ll get you tomorrow”. Dance with CPC MPs. Get family photo with Pierre. Thurs: 3:15pm vote with CPC in the House. 6:00pm cross the floor, attend Liberal Christmas party. Super normal behaviour that doesn’t raise any questions at all.
