@AdamService @khaliltooshort "The crowd" is out in force to try and dunk on the first real video game to release in a decade. This game reminds me of something from the 90s and early 2000s. Unapologetic video game, pure game experience. They try so many different things here and most succeed.

Crimson Desert EARLY impressions: • Visuals looks even better in person • There is almost zero handholding, you need to figure things out yourself • Controls are definitely confusing at first but I started to get the hang of it within a couple hours • There is so much to do JUST in the opening town. It's actually kind of overwhelming 😆 • The world very much feels lived in. You can talk to nearly every NPC for some useful info or XP. • Interactivity is insane, everything has physics and objects can interact with each other • Really like the combat so far, excited to try out different weapons • Story has been slow in the opening hours, hopefully it starts to pick up

The jury is out on Crimson Desert. Turns out I was right. I know, I know... you guys hate when that happens. The consensus so far: • Exploration is the main draw • The game tries to do way too much • Feels like a single-player MMO • Story is trash • Mechanics are convoluted • Takes 8+ hours to even hook you So yeah, this is a very specific niche game. The kind some people will absolutely love… and most will play, think “yeah, that was alright,” and never touch again. And that’s fine. Not every game needs to be perfect to be enjoyable. And not everyone has to like the same things you do.

@jordnsworld Only thing we won't forgive is how dirty marvel did everything for the last 10+ years... discounting infinity war and end game. Sure a few artists were left to create a few cool scenes but the writing and direction were bottom of the barrel. Set pieces dont save this movie.

@GamewithDave Granblue Fantasy Relink. Even the DLC characters are unlockable within the game itself by finding items from quests and trading them for a Crewmate Card for that character, bypassing the need to buy the DLC Pack in the DLC Shop.

This was the ideal test case of every excuse AAA shill and dev has trotted out: - Well that game was free. (no) - They didn't launch at the same time (they did) - It was a work week so numbers were low (Slay the Spire smashed through to new peaks) - It was a well beloved IP and studio (so was Bungie). When will the excuses stop and the much needed self reflection begin? AAA can't begin to fix things until they are willing to be honest that their games failed for good reason. They were mid.

@politicalmath I've done this a couple of times. Not on a 26 mile run mind you, but on a 5 and 10k run I had some gas left on the final stretch and sprinted to pass the group of front runners. Still didnt get first, but felt good to zoom past like 3 through 10th place.
