French is quoting Guttmacher. He's a dupe. Guttmacher is considered the definitive source for this info. Their monthly figures are estimates, not hard numbers. CDC state-level numbers are only available through 2022. Interestingly, 29 of the 46 states that reported abortions between 2011 and 2022 reported an overall downward trend. Guttmacher's last comprehensive survey was in 2020. The chart you shared is ridiculous. California and a number of other states are included in early years and excluded in the later years. Why not just include the states with data for all periods? Very manipulative.

@spnmkt @youtwitface @megbasham This is put out yearly...now monthly, I believe. The idea that French or Guttmacher just made this info up to side with Dems is ludicrous.

So just to be clear, your complaint is that Allie Beth and her team have posted clips from the podcast interview, exactly as they have done for most every other podcast interview she’s recorded? They’re posting clips of their exchanges where they’re debating different points of view. That’s the point of the interview. What could possibly be wrong with this? Now, I understand that French doesn’t come off particularly well in those clips, but that is on French to defend. Allie is under no obligation withhold the clips just because French doesn’t come off particularly well in them.
Tyler Lee Conway@TylerLeeConway

I do think it’s telling that David French goes on a show in good faith, knowing it’s going to be an interrogation session, and he posts nothing about it but this while Allie and her team post clip after clip of what they see as “gotcha” moments.

The drop is being used to encourage Evangelicals to vote for Democrats by French and many others. That's my point. Also, why isn't the CDC data displayed with just the states that have consistently reported counts? Potentially very misleading. The drop that seems to match Guttmacher could entirely be due to the states that stopped reporting in the 90s.

@spnmkt @youtwitface @megbasham Exactly...although Guttmacher goes back way before that. A Pro Abortion group isn't going to show Dem presidents with the biggest drops in abortion unless the facts show it. It hurts theit base. But still you have Obama and Clinton there. And the CDC is a polit...oh wait 🙄.

I didn't watch the interview but I think perhaps the reason it "might be reasonable" as opposed to reasonable is due to the left wing propaganda spewed out by the media. We don't trust these reports of abuse. Not at all. We're willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt given all of the past lies (Russia collusion...) spread about him and other conservatives.

@AlexHam1111 @youtwitface @megbasham The ciunts are suspect. Guttmacher has done a formal survey since 2020 + they have strong ties to planned parenthood. What did you think striking down Dobbs was going to do? It just took the abortion issue out of the courts and into the hands of voters. That's good news.

@youtwitface @megbasham On abortion he's right. It's not debatable. 1. Look at the past. 2. Ok don't look at the past. Just this last term. Mail order abortion drugs sky rocket. Abortion rate itself still going up. IVF 80 percent cheaper. Dobbs a failure.

You’re right, two things can be true at once, @Michele_Tafoya — and here they are: 1. Sulfide mining has a 100% water contamination rate. Every single mine. Ever. 2. The company behind this project is Chilean, was fined for water violations three weeks before the House vote, and ships its minerals to China. “Energy independence” where the owner is foreign, the smelting is foreign, and the profits are foreign — but the pollution is 100% Minnesotan. We’d love to have you join the @staubermn team. You’ve already got the talking points down. staubermn.com/bwca-listing.h…
Michele Tafoya@Michele_Tafoya

Two things can be true at once: we can develop our natural resources and protect the Boundary Waters. With modern technology and strong oversight, Minnesota can set the gold standard for clean, responsible mining while preserving what makes our state special. This is an important first step in securing energy independence. Any project in Minnesota will go through a thorough permitting process that meets the highest environmental standards in the country. We have an opportunity to lead in responsible mining and produce the critical minerals our economy and national security depend on, without relying on foreign nations.

Ever cook bacon and eggs in a muffin pan? Cold or hot, these are delicious. Cook your bacon alone for 12-15 minutes at 400. Then gently add the eggs and go 10 more minutes.

@CarsonWeitnauer We get it, Carson, you hate Trump, he's mean; you've called Allie a shill for Trump in a previous post. You probably voted for Kamala. What are "these issues" addressed in "every other verse of the Bible" that would have been dealt with more effectively under her presidency?

I appreciate that you invited David onto your podcast. And I agree that advocating for the life of an innocent baby and clearly communicating the truth about men and women are important moral priorities. However, it is a disordered morality that only values these two issues, or always values them above any other moral issue. The Scriptures form us to love God and our neighbors in a far more comprehensive manner - including care for the widow, the orphan, the poor, and the immigrant. That seems to be the main limitation of the counters to David - “but abortion, but trans issues.” These issues can’t veto every other verse in the Bible.

I think I’m gonna have to do a live tweet thread of my reactions to the interview. He has treated Allie Beth’s work and evangelicals overall terribly. Egregiously misrepresented them. But when he’s sitting in front of Allie Beth, suddenly it’s, I wasn’t talking about you, I was talking about these other unnamed awful people.

Megan, you really need to look into the stats that French quotes regarding abortion rates. Just too convenient a stat. Rise under Republicans and decline under Dems. They are created by the Guttmacher Institute, which has ties to Planned Parenthood. Huge incentive for them to manipulate. They were called out in the past for grossly overstating abortion rates in Mexico.

Oh my gosh, that is such a ridiculous response. French had said something similar about Obama. He said that the abortion rate went down under Obama because Obama gave people hope. Absolutely idiotic. The truth was, red states enacted more restrictions under Obama and that what was what was bringing the abortion rate down. And French is too smart not to know that. So what does that make him?

@KUPERWASSERLAB @jsm2334 @PlumberAlberta Whatever the cause of death, it's very strange to me that all-cause deaths have never dropped below the 2019 baseline or at least match it more closely. Per capita deaths declined 28% in 1919, the year after the Spanish Flu.

I think we can all agree that until we see the CDC data for 2023, 2024, 2025 we can’t completely say with confidence there’s been no increase. I understand and am well aware there has always been a lag in data reporting so I’m not invoking conspiracy or collusion 😉 but the community is making population level claims on data from 3-4 years ago…

In 2011, a neuroscientist at MIT named Dr. Li-Huei Tsai made a discovery that should have been on the front page of every newspaper on Earth. She exposed mice with advanced Alzheimer's disease to a flickering light pulsing at exactly 40 Hz — forty flashes per second. Nothing else. No drugs. No surgery. Just light at a specific frequency. Within one hour, the amyloid-beta plaques in their brains — the protein deposits that define Alzheimer's — began to dissolve. Not slow. Not gradually. Within sixty minutes. After seven days of daily 40 Hz exposure, plaque levels dropped by 50%. The mice regained memory function. Their neurons began firing in synchrony again. The brain's immune cells — microglia — activated and started clearing the toxic buildup like a cleaning crew that had been asleep for years. The study was published in Nature. The most prestigious scientific journal on the planet. Peer-reviewed. Replicated. Confirmed. That was 2016. It is now 2026. 40 million people worldwide have Alzheimer's. The pharmaceutical industry generates $13 billion per year from Alzheimer's drugs that do not reverse the disease. Not one of them. They slow it. Maybe. Temporarily. At $26,000 per year per patient. A 40 Hz light costs less than a dollar to produce. Dr. Tsai is still at MIT. Her research continues. Phase III human trials are underway. But you will not see this on the evening news. You will not hear your doctor mention it. You will not find it in any pharmacy. Because a frequency that costs nothing cannot sustain a $13 billion industry. The light is 40 Hz. The frequency is real. The science is published. And 40 million people are still waiting for permission to use it.

@grok the killings were justified on religious (Catholic) and political grounds. Obviously priests were doing the killing. They asked each bound man "are you Catholic or Lutheran" Before they butchered them. Cut the head off the leader and displayed it on a lance. Promise of safety allowed them to bind these men 10 at a time. Slaughtered 400-500 at the fort and the inlet. This is from their own account there were no French survivors to report.

She was also responsible for sentencing three women who stole more than $300,000 through the SNAP program. One woman was sentenced to 12 months. One three years probation, and the third is awaiting sentencing. This was a sophisticated fraud that typically results in years of prison time. Can be 20 years for each count.
