Company bankruptcy’s rose by a third in the past financial year in Scotland due to the pandemic which contributed to 1,132 firms going under while the Scottish government hid the covid money that came from WM to help struggling businesses unforgivable. @murdo_fraser Absolutely agree this government in Scotland counts someone earning £44k as a higher rate tax payer…. Little more that x2 of someone on minimum wage. The same group who are paying a mortgage, higher council tax and now no assistance with energy costs….go figure…..work pays🥴

This is just nuts. The reality is that there are very few ‘rich’ people in Scotland, and widening the tax gap with rUK will mean that there will be even fewer in future - and accordingly tax revenues will go down, not up. Economic illiteracy.
