@TSnooker102 A coin toss?? We're not even in round 2. Wise up. I'd love to see Selby in it, but he's not near as strong as some of the players. Can't count Xiotong, Allen, Trump Higgins or Osullivan out
An important victory over pan-Republican Belfast City Council.
The grounds of challenge which failed on call-in procedures will clearly now go to Court of Appeal. But if the current position stands, then unionist dominated councils must now impose cultural dominance.
@TSnooker102 Stupid post. Losing 10 nil would have knocked his confidence. Kyran just might have done that with his over zealous celebration. Was there any need for 4 fist pumps? Uncalled
@Kscott_94@niamh_journo Ah you've missed the point by dishing out abuse yourself. It's fair game sometimes for politicians to have a dig at each other (Poundland Putin and Temu Trump) but it's pretty poor for a journalist to stoop low when defending a journalist that has received simlar abuse
The level of abuse that has been waged at my colleague @niamh_journo for her great piece this weekend is staggering.
Niamh's response to the moon-howlers sums up her professionalism.
As for NI's answer to Jacob Rees-Mogg, he should take a good, long, hard look at himself.
@Choyaa13@AlexKane221b@LucidTalk@JonBurrowsMLA@BelTel Burrows ratings won't necessarily translate into more support for his UUP MLA's. I think they will be a very slight increase, just like Claire Hanna is the most popular Nationalist leader, there isn't a chance of the SDLP gaining at the expense of Sinn Fein
@AlexKane221b@LucidTalk@JonBurrowsMLA@BelTel I think the DUP has a slight problem, Gavin has a lot of goodwill behind him but being relegated into third place within Unionism is an issue. He's too low profile and this isn't helping their polling numbers. The party is going to have to make a few changes in their operations.
At the time of the last @LucidTalk poll, in January, I noted that critics and potential party rebels of @JonBurrowsMLA would be keeping a close eye on the next one (published in today’s @BelTel). They’ll be happy. Most popular figure across unionism and no dip in ratings.
I responded to Jamie Bryson’s call for unionist students to wear Orange Order attire 'retaliation' to GAA tops
He says I’ve "missed the point" - despite me quoting him directly throughout

@mgtruth I don't have a problem either way...this is of course similar to when Mathew Otoole complained about box of strawberries in M&S in 'union flag' wrapped boxes..
@mgtruth The point is...why can't they be available for those who want them, and another bag available for those who don't? The people who were so intolerant to complain to M&S is where the problem lies.
I mean, we’re at the beginning of a potential financial world crisis and this is where we are in NI.
Bags and manufactured outrage around symbols and emblems.
Balance and respect is when we treat each other well and equally.
Not bloody marketing branded carrier bags.
Honestly one of the best draws i can remember. So many stand out matches. For me if I had to pick 5
Higgins / Carter
Hawkins / Stevens
Ding / Gilbert
Selby / Jones
Willo / Kowalski
@mgtruth Surely the problem lies with the person or group who was most intolerant in the first place to complain about a bag?? Strange how you've turned it around..
@stephenirwin80 I’d suggest that the complaints department in most large retail outlets would give you a laugh.
They’ve dealt with the complaint & removed a bag not available in most sites in the UK.
A simple solution for a major retailer here.
