Four years ago almost to the date I was in Doha where EU governments were begging for more gas to make up for Russia boycott after the full scale Ukraine invasion. Now major Gulf energy sites including in Qatar are being hit by Israel and Iran, which could take years to repair.

In a viral post, Emirati billionaire Khalaf Al Habtoor slammed Trump for his “dangerous decision” to drag the Gulf into war, giving voice to frustrations that many here dare express only privately. But days later, the post was gone. Al Habtoor’s story: wapo.st/4bqMtN7

The vice president of the United States says that 400kg of near weapons-grade uranium possibly unaccounted for, in a country that may now want to build a bomb in secret, is just not a big deal
The Bulwark@BulwarkOnline

Q: "Do you know for sure where all the highly enriched uranium is?" Vance: "Well, I think that's actually not the question before us...Uranium is something that exists in a very large supply. I think our main goal was to bury the uranium and I do think the uranium was buried."

How much damage did the bombs do at Fordow? We don't know yet Will Iran choose to retaliate, and how? We don't know yet Does Trump push Israel to end its war or give it carte blanche to keep going? We don't know yet Three key questions right now, and we can only speculate

WSJ: The U.S. military is operating in the air, on land and at sea to shoot down Iranian missiles fired at Israel in response to its attacks on Iran’s nuclear program and military leadership, tilting Washington toward more direct involvement in the widening conflict.

My comments in @WSJ on the new challenges of deterrence in the Red Sea: "You make it a sitting duck out there and within range of Houthi weapons," Bryan Clark, a former Navy strategist and senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, said of deploying a carrier to the area. "We used to be able to operate close to shore like this, because the expectation was that adversaries would not attack a carrier out of concern for the repercussions," Clark said.
