I might be missing something here, but this whole "did he, didn't he" debate about how the game ended on Saturday could all be settled very easily.
All the SFA need to do is release the audio which, even in the bedlam going on around it, will capture the referees whistle being blown.
The SPFL say he told them it had ended, so it's very easy to prove that. This tiresome debate is going to go on forever until they do. I'm surprised it's not been released already tbqh.

What happens if Dunfermline score after 10s of the cup final and invade the pitch and stop it restarting. Can the ref just end the game? If not, what's the difference?

Plenty of teams have scored two in less than a minute.
It wasn't close to impossible. All the SPFL have done is confirm the referee broke the rules.

There is now CONCLUSIVE PROOF that the Pitch Invasion occured prior to the end of the game.
The game was only ended when Police secured a small patch of grass from invading fans close to the Dug Outs and escorted the REF on to the field to blow the Final Whistle.
