Reading that Q Mannivannan the elected transgender Indian MSP who is here on a temporary Visa has allegedly lied during his campaign about his background.
He is from an extremely privileged Indian elite where he has stated what seems almost the opposite to the Scottish people in order to become elected.
This can’t continue in Scotland. It’s an affront to Democracy and the Scottish people.
The Sunday Times investigation is indeed shocking reading.

This is a lie. This is also not what I was saying. My sole point, one that was made by medical doctors on this site, is that Nicholas Kristof misrepresented the medical literature on this subject. In a Q and A with the New York Times he implied the medical literature provided precedent for the claim in his piece. It does not and this is simply a statement of fact.
This is not something that should be accepted by a Pulitzer Prize winner or the New York Times. They are drawing the credibility of these institutions into disrepute.
The veracity of the canine claim can be argued through other means and I have not engaged in debates on this regard, beyond saying that the Sagan standard is obviously required on this issue.
I said repeatedly, indeed twice in my initial post, that credible accounts of sexual violence were outlined in his piece. Indeed, it is a disrespect to these victims that Nick has drawn their testimony into question due to his insistence on including the extraordinary canine testimony. No one but the most partisan pro-Palestine activists are taking his opinion piece seriously, when there are accounts included in it that actually should be.
Frances was caught lying about me, a community note was created, and she was bombarded with comments by people exposing her for her malevolence in this regard. Instead of deleting and apologising, she has created a new lie about me. People such as this are evil. Frankly, I’m not even upset. I know I would never, ever do this to even people I loathe.
As with every bad faith attack, this just affirms the justness of my work and my writing. I will continue stronger than ever.

I would appreciate if people could upvote this community note. I was making a comment, as an academic, on Nick’s misrepresentation of the literature in this regard. I have acknowledged multiple times that credible testimonies were included in his piece (that have now been discredited due to Nick’s unfathomable decision to stand by this specific canine claim). Abuse and sexual abuse has happened in Israeli detention, something I would never deny nor ever imply was wanted. I am now on the receiving end of a lot of extremely graphic rape threats in my DMs due to this misrepresentation of my words, which ironically has come about due to my highlighting of Nick’s misrepresentation of the literature. The original account that Frances has quote tweeted is a stalker of mine and I have already spoken to the Gardaí about this today with the hope of identifying the account. Thank you very much to all for your help. At this point, due to he volume of rape threats, I regard this as very serious.
