This Secret Company Just Got A Massive Government Contract @EzraLevant hears from a local Nova Scotia resident who blew the whistle on a $200 million Department of National Defence contract with Maritime Launch Services to set up a spaceport in the province. Two-hundred million. That's how much money Mark Carney's Liberals just handed an obscure company tied to a Canadian rocket launchpad in the tiny town of Canso, Nova Scotia. The Liberals say this will help Canada compete with the United States and build a domestic aerospace advantage. But is that really true? After all, the site in Canso is just a concrete slab in the middle of nowhere. We decided to look deeper into the company involved, Maritime Launch Services, and what we found raises serious questions about transparency, accountability and how business gets done in Canada. We recently travelled to Canso, flying to Halifax and then driving three hours, to see the site for ourselves. The Department of National Defence is spending $20 million a year over 10 years on the project, while Marine Launch Services actually rents the land from the province for less than $15,000 a year. It's the craziest thing — and that's why we went to investigate. What we found in Canso was a town appalled and opposed to this rocket industry. Everywhere we went, there were signs showing people do not want this spaceport — whether it's real or fake. “We're a small community in rural Nova Scotia, so no one is listened to us,” one local resident who blew the whistle on this story told us. Suspiciously, Maritime Launch Services was a penny stock until the $200 million investment from the Carney Liberals. Then the price shot up, with insiders making out like bandits. Even more eye-catching, the government backdated its lease agreement with Maritime Launch Services by a year. This means the federal government shelled out $20 million for nothing. It seems like a form of money laundering, like a way of funnelling money to friends. Who are the people who got this sweetheart deal? “We have about 1,100 people within 5.5 km of this,” the Canso local told us, noting the project was first discussed as a test site for a 127-foot-tall Ukrainian rocket. That rocket was set to be launched just 3 km from her community, “so, naturally we were concerned,” she said. “I can't outright say it's corruption, I don't know,” she told us. “I wrote the Auditor General,” she added, calling for an independent investigation. “This needs to be looked at, because it's wrong on every level.”

@MrStache9 @PennyRaeWeaver1 So far the only thing that is "lifting off" is the portfolios of investors in Maritime Launch Services! Stock price for MAXQF went from 2 cents to 43 cents in the past year! Hmmmmmmm?

Is Canada's newest 'spaceport' a scam? 🚀 The “spaceport” is little more than a concrete slab on a gravel lot. The Halifax Examiner published an incredible story last week. I had to read it twice to make sure it was real! Canada’s Department of National Defence has signed a 10-year lease for a so-called “spaceport” in tiny Canso, Nova Scotia. Sounds impressive — but wait until you see what’s actually there. The “spaceport” is little more than a concrete slab on a gravel lot. That means taxpayers are paying $54,000 a day for land that appears to be a fictitious launch facility. I flew to Halifax and drove three hours to Canso to see for myself. And the more you look into it, the stranger this whole thing gets. So who exactly is Maritime Launch Services? It’s the company behind this proposed Nova Scotia “spaceport” project — a company that, according to public reporting, had little visible infrastructure on site and a stock price that traded at just pennies before this federal deal was announced. Now, thanks to a $200 million, 10-year lease from the Department of National Defence, the company stands to receive roughly $20 million a year from taxpayers. And — this part is so weird — the lease payments are backdated a year. So the Liberals have agreed to pay $20 million for last year too, even though the lease was just signed a few weeks ago. $20 million a year for the “spaceport” — even though Maritime Launch Services itself only pays $13,500 a year to lease the land from the province! If the governments can call a slab of concrete a strategic national asset, what else are they hoping no one checks? Sometimes the biggest scandals aren’t hidden at all; they’re sitting in plain sight, wrapped up in official language by politicians. The problem is not just one bad deal, but a crooked system that's gotten comfortable with sweetheart deals like this. Congratulations to citizen journalist Marie Lumsden for breaking this story, and for talking to us, so we can spread the word. If you can help chip in for the cost of my travels to go out there, I’d be grateful. Between the flight to Halifax, the rental car, fuel, and the three-hour drive each way to Canso with my videographer Lincoln, this trip will cost more than $1,500. I know it sounds crazy to fly across the country and drive deep for hours just to inspect a so-called “spaceport.” But when the mainstream media won’t seriously question a $200 million government deal, someone has to — don’t you think?

A ton of Conservatives don't realize it yet, but Canada Strong Fund will be backed by Canadian resources. Gold in the ground, chromite, oil. This not only incentivizes production, it creates wealth. Instead of inflationary $ printing, every $ allocated is to be asset backed.

TIME TO INVEST... PROBABLY NOT AT THIS POINT. WAS IT DONE FOR 'OPTICS'? ANSWER: DEFINITELY YES and for 'FUND development' and collaboration with EU companies. the Maritime Launch Services (MLS) TSX:MAXQ and the MDA Space TSX:MDA are the cornerstones to the Canadian Space Launch Act. (ACT was required legislation to enable Transport Canada to backstop 'legalities & liabilities'! Yes it is a 'starting point' but only for -low-near earth orbit satellites, telecommunications and military monitoring. It is NOT as many thought... ambitious enough to enter the 'Space Race'. MLS has no set dates for activities and has been left "open ended" to that extent. MDA has a longer track record with European agencies also in the finacier cohort. Right now the MAXQ stock is not doing well, even after the *canadian cash infusions* by wokecarneyLibs and is struggling, in a 'likeness of daily activity' to a PUMP & DUMP survival strategy. (principal(s) of company cashing in stock options making millions$$) MDA stock is also with fluctulating stock value. just ANOTHER wokecarneyLib 'START UP PROGRAM' that includes -cohort personnel- links to UK and other European countries 'Space Engaged' companies including Poland, Roma, etc. IT'S ALL ABOUT 'FINANCIER' DEALINGS! ~ hold her steady captaincarney! ~

@Jenniferl554563 Jennifer Canada needs your support. Near Halifax is a small piece of land owned by the government and the government has paid this company $200 million to be a spaceport. Maritime Launch Services has never sent a rocket to space. Canadians need jobs and revenue development. Lol

You want the Prime Minister to build more housing, build a pipeline, mine resources, cut taxes, increase defence, bring in more jobs. But you don’t want him to spend any money doing so. All while we are under threat from the US. Sit this out. Pp wants Canada to fail.

It’s called ‘The Fleecing of Canada’ This country has been degraded so poorly by the Liberals that now the carpet baggers are moving in. They pretend they are legit and the Liberals hand them billions. This Maritime Launch Services is a prime example. We are giving them 200 million and there is nothing there. The company is a complete scam. Bring your own rocket. LOL how do you bring a large rocket to a launch site?

With the introduction of the Canadian Space Launch Act (Bill C-28), 🇨🇦 can modernize its launch framework to allow orbital missions. For @maritimelaunch, it means we can fully unlock Spaceport Nova Scotia as a gateway to orbit. @MichaelCooperMP $20M/yr from a Defense budget of $50BN a year is smart money and essential national infrastructure. There is no "grift". Read the lease agreement: it lists the infrastructure required and gives an EoY timeframe for basic operational status. Stop spreading bullshit.

LIBERAL MONEY PIT Carney gave $200M tax dollars to LIBERAL INSIDERS to lease a "spaceport" that is just a GRAVEL PIT with a slab of concrete. They don't even own the land. They're leasing it from Nova Scotia for ONLY $15K a year. Liberals get rich. Taxpayers get RIPPED OFF.
