Thankfully, the metaverse as a platform isn’t bound to binary completion. Intermediate versions will be incredible upgrades from today and spur increased investment, much like the “incomplete” internet of the 1990’s.

The least talked challenge to building the metaverse is culture. Social and software evolved with an agile mindset: ship-fast. Game development evolved with a waterfall mindset: quality-first. As both sides push toward the middle, cultures will clash.
