That's a shallow and completely off-the-mark guess......
Japan, facing a labor shortage, has been accepting large numbers of foreigners.
These days, many Japanese people are experiencing culture shock right in their daily lives.
We need measures to reduce that stress, and those measures will require an enormous budget.
Even just dealing with the sharply increased burden on immigration control demands urgent improvements......
The simplistic policy of filling labor shortages with foreigners has now entered its next phase......😑

the writing styles of language models are basically fine, they weren’t better in some halcyon before times. we just use them so much that we get annoyed by their mannerisms. they need to have a superhumanly diverse idiolect to not become grating

If “adopting” a pitbull had a fee of even just 1000 USD attached it would virtually eliminate the pitbull problem overnight. That they’re not only the most dangerous dog but the most frictionless to acquire by people who just say “I want any kind of dog right now” is absurd.

I think the dog adoption markets in large cities are now rigged in such a way that the only dogs available are pitbulls and “mixes” (pitbulls). Majority of potential owners aren’t willing to shell out a few grand for a breeder dog, which ironically means they’re all the less qualified to be owning a pit.

Prison really doesn't make sense for many crimes at all.

this is why caning remains underrated. a short sharp consequence without a lingering life ruining paper trail. this is what young men need and respond to.

The true difference between left and right wing is whether your takeaway for this is "he ruined that kid's life for $2200" or "that kid ruined his life for $2200". Everything else is downstream from that.
