EV SCAM THAT NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT 🚨 Resale Value of EV‼️ Bookmark it🔖 Just a little rant, but I have Nexon XZ+ 2021 model 27th December 2021 registered. The range is about 220km on road and the car is in excellent condition with no issues. I want to switch to an EV with higher range, thinking of either Windsor or VF7. It’s just been 4 years and 3 months since I bought the car, the issue is I am atleast expecting 6.1L for my car but the resale value for EV is absolute unreasonable. I bought this car for 15L back then, and today the valuation I’m getting for the car for exchange is about 4.5L and Cars24 is giving me absolutely unreasonable 4L value for the car. I tried Facebook marketplace with offers like 5L-5.5L and the ones who came to check the car for 6L idk why, they’re interested but it just does not fit in their budget? I posted on OLX to the sell my car, and it goes to show how people are still very skeptical about buying an EV. Not to mention, TATA absolutely ruined the resale value of older Nexons with a cheaper punch with more range, and it’s kinda pissing me off. Also people are unwilling to buy a 2nd hand EV because they fear “battery health” when no one really knows that an EV battery is not like a phone’s battery at all, they don’t have to replace an entire battery, only few cells are replaced if there is any issue, almost the same budget you’d use to maintain an ICE car after 8-10 years. So people who are buying an EV, beware that EVs still is an evolving technology, 2-3 years down the line there’s more cars with more range, and the depreciation does not work like ICE cars. I might have bought my EV too soon without realising it back then, still having a hard time to sell the car in my budget since a month now.

Why I bought XEV 9E Cineluxe edition? ✅Looks that stand out ✅Range ✅New interiors perfect for toddler friendly car ✅Better suspension than 9S ✅Music system Why these cars lost out: XEV 9E Regular - White interiors and there was no custom mode update yet. Price difference was 50k after discount but if I got Matte PPF done it would have costed 25k more than Cineluxe. XEV 9S - Closest rival. The soft suspension and similar looks to XUV 7XO went against it. Its good on bad roads but bad on good roads. In long run you will get exhausted by constant up down bumpy ride which you feel on the seat as well. BE6 - Too cramped up for 6 footer and less boot space as well. Harrier.EV - I already owe Tata Safari and also back seat had a lot of body roll compared to ICE which is very comfortable car to ride and drive. Plus due to its massive weight and Tata’s turtle mode the effective range of car is below 400 kms which is low if you spend this much. Creta EV - A superb car but for that price an additional 10 kwh would have worked. Windsor - Exchanged MG Hector for XEV so Windsor was also in running due to same brand. Low battery size, Uncle type car shape, Heat problem due to glass size and Charging issues on highway meant it was off radar. Curvv EV - It was the original EV in mind whenn it launched 18 months back. But due to its rear seat space I bought Tata Safari instead. Nexon EV - Never even thought about it. Punch EV - Will buy for Wife surely someday. Clavis EV - Battery size and dont trust Kia safety. BMW iX1, Kia EV 5 & BYD Sealion 7 - Aukat se bahar 🤣

When you chose your new car lately, which was the second closest choice and why it was rejected? Please let me know, as your insights are very helpful to form an opinion in my posts/videos. For example: I picked XYZ Hybrid instead of XYZ because I needed fuel efficiency in the city use OR I picked XYZ because it had ADAS and XYZ didn't.
