Even in Mumbai, where decent footpaths do exist in some areas, many people still choose to walk on the road. It gets worse when groups of 3–4 walk side by side instead of in single file, effectively taking up an entire lane and putting both themselves and motorists at risk. We need to push municipalities to run awareness campaigns and enforce basic discipline through patrolling. Housing societies can also help by putting up simple signs: “Please use the footpath, not the road. Stay safe.” #Walkability #footpath

Whenever the forced e20 mandate is questioned, NiGa's paid PR agency and IT cell bots become Vengaboys and start singing "Brazil". To all such parrots - Stop comparing India’s aggressive E20 roll-out to Brazil. It's a completely flawed parallel. - Brazil started its "Biofuels" program way back in the 1970s. They spent 50+ years slowly building their entire fuel ecosystem, allowing infrastructure and automakers to mature gradually. We are compressing that timeline radically, leaving consumers to deal with sudden transitions. - In Brazil, consumers get actual choice at the pump. They can select different blends at different, heavily incentivised price points. Crucially, ethanol is priced according to the "70% rule" - at least 30% cheaper than petrol - to offset its lower energy density. In India, consumers lack choice, and the discount on high-ethanol blends (like E85) doesn't yet cover the 20-30% drop in mileage. - Brazilian roads are dominated by Flex-Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) capable of handling E0 to E100, a technology they mastered over two decades ago. India, however, has a massive legacy fleet of over 30 crore older vehicles built for E5/E10, which face serious risks of engine corrosion and exponential mileage drops on high blends. - Finally, the environmental cost is vastly different. Brazil's sugarcane fields are largely rain-fed, blessed with abundant water. In contrast, India's sugarcane and grain-to-ethanol production draws heavily from highly stressed groundwater reserves, making a blind copy of the Brazilian model an ecological nightmare for our water security. Forcing mandates without choice, true pricing parity, or technical maturity isn't following the "Brazil model" - it's ignoring it. @PetroleumMin @HardeepSPuri @nitin_gadkari @PMOIndia

@DareDevilAnupam @abhijeet_dipke u seem to think that this is d first time a leak has happened. There have been leaks in d recent past too. These leaks requiring students to retake a highly competitive exam is causing a significant increase in stress 4 them. We need to make sure that they fix this b4 d next one.

@SHYTANRISHI @Vtxt21 But should there have been such a major malfunction at such a new airport? Shouldn't the equipment which caused this be more reliable? Has cheap equipment been installed just because its out of sight?

@Vtxt21 While waiting at Navi Mumbai International Airport yesterday, I noticed airport staff responding to a water leakage near the baggage claim area. The action to secure the location and restore operations was a good example of efficient airport management

@Sreekrish555 @Vtxt21 Such a major malfunction in a such a new greenfield airport and you are commenting as if it is almost to be expected? You need to raise your expectations from the airport operator. Else you will have to make do with 4th grade service at 1st grade cost #governance
