Seit der Staatsgründung im Jahr 1948 belaufen sich die US-Hilfen inflationsbereinigt (Stand 2024/25) auf über 300 Milliarden Dollar. Damit ist Israel der weltweit größte kumulative Empfänger von US-Auslandshilfe. Chaos: Cui bono? Israel will dieses Chaos. Das Chaos ist das strategische Ziel. Netanjahu war vollkommen klar, dass die Aussichten auf einen Regimewechsel genauso gering sind wie die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass er den Friedensnobelpreis gewinnt. In unserer verrückten Welt ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit für Letzteres tatsächlich deutlich größer. Israel tötet gezielt mögliche Verhandlungspartner, eskaliert, indem es Gasfelder des Iran angreift, und kündigt ausgerechnet am Tag, an dem Trump von „winding down” spricht, verstärkte Angriffe in den nächsten Tagen an. Israel glaubt nicht an irgendeine Art friedlicher Koexistenz. Es will militärische Dominanz. Deshalb hat Israel Atomwaffen, erhält amerikanische Waffen, die denen der Araber technisch überlegen sind, und legt große Teile seiner Nachbarschaft in Schutt und Asche. Dabei produziert es Millionen Flüchtlinge und unterscheidet nur auf dem Papier zwischen Zivilisten und Kombattanten. Alles Amalek! Eigentlich sollte es nicht extra betont werden müssen, aber leider muss man es tun: Es sind nicht „die Juden”, von denen sehr viele ebenfalls angewidert sind, sondern der Nationalstaat Israel. Waffenstillstand Der Iran wird sich nur auf einen Waffenstillstand einlassen, wenn dieser mit signifikanten Sicherheitsgarantien verbunden ist. In den letzten Wochen ist zu viel passiert, als dass der Iran den Krieg ohne strategischen Sieg beenden kann. Und es könnte noch schlimmer kommen: Der Iran könnte nicht nur die Öl- und Gasinfrastruktur der Golfstaaten zerstören, sondern auch deren Entsalzungsanlagen. Obendrein hat der Iran noch einen weiteren Trumpf im Ärmel: die Huthi! Auffällig ist, was die Social-Media-Posts von Trump und seine öffentlichen Aussagen verraten. Er hat die ursprünglichen Kriegsziele radikal reduziert und behauptet immer wieder, der Iran wolle Frieden, aber die USA seien mit den Bedingungen nicht einverstanden. Es ist wohl genau umgekehrt. Von den Angriffen auf die Golfstaaten war man in Washington angeblich überrascht, obwohl die Golfstaaten genau davor gewarnt hatten. Die Straße von Hormus ist für die USA unwichtig und leicht von NATO-Staaten und Ostasiaten zu öffnen. Trotzdem wurde ein 48-Stunden-Ultimatum gesetzt und mit der Zerstörung iranischer Kraftwerke gedroht. Was selbstverständlich ein weiteres Kriegsverbrechen wäre. Wir können nur hoffen, dass es in den USA noch durchsetzungsfähige Eliten gibt, die über nicht-öffentliche Kanäle mit dem Iran konstruktive Verhandlungen führen, um diesen Wahnsinn zu beenden. Dabei müssen die Amerikaner nicht einmal die Interessen der Welt im Blick haben, es reicht, wenn sie ausschließlich an ihre eigenen nationalen Interessen denken.
